Effects

X Sp. Atk raises the Special Attack stat of a Pokémon in battle by two stages.

In Generations 2-6, X Sp. Atk raises Special Attack by one stage.

In Generation 1, it raises the Special stat by one stage (which encompasses Special Attack and Special Defense).

In Generations 1-5, the item was known as X Special.

FireRed/LeafGreen	Raises the SP. ATK stat of POKéMON in battle. Wears off if the POKéMON is withdrawn.

Scarlet/Violet	An item that sharply boosts the Sp. Atk stat of a Pokémon in battle. This effect disappears if the Pokémon leaves the battle.
