On the first turn the pokemon flies into the air, disappearing from view and becoming semi-invulnerable. On the second turn the pokemon attacks.
While in the air, the pokemon can only be hit by the moves Gust and Twister - which hit with double power - and Thunder, Sky Uppercut and Knock Down. Pokemon with the ability No Guard, or any move following an identify
move can also hit.
Prior to Generation IV, Fly has a base power of 70.
Fly allows you to fly instantly to any PokeCenter you have already visited during the course of the game. It is usually obtained late in the game, well after you are able to use it.
