...People don't go to my join avenue anymore, even if I trade/battle with them or if they are passerby... WHAT IS GOING ON?

What rank is your avenue? If it is low, you will get less people, Also, if you recommend a visitor to a  shop all products the shop owner sells will be sold out.

When you put White2/Black2 in say a Dsi XL and play w2/b2 in say a 3ds and play it, there will be no items or/and it's a glitch. This has happen to me because of the first reason.
