In black what is the point of the p2 laboratory?

If you trade the event Genesect from the Event from Black / White 2 to Black, you will get to battle a scientist if you have Genesect in your party in there. If you beat him, you will get the Burn and Shock Drives for changing Genesect's Techno Blast.
