I need a special wall for a Hail stall team in UU. I have some specifications and I'm afraid they are somewhat picky, so please bear with me.

  • Must be effective at taking multiple special hits
  • Must not be weak to Rock, Electric, Fighting, Bug, Flying, Water, or Ice, or Fire. You may contradict one of these if absolutely neccassary but please try not to
  • Does not have to be from UU, can be from RU and even NU if it'll work
  • Don't answer unless you know what you are talking about
  • Please answer with battle-proven moveset

I was thinking about a Pyschic type that has CM, because I can cope with the bug weakness.

Chansey has amazing special defense and hp. If that hail damage adds up you can always wish or softboil.

Blissey sux (Chansey) (F) @ Eviolite
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 Hp / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature (+ Defense - Attack)
- Softboiled/Wish
- Stealth Rock/Protect/Aromatherapy
- Toxic
- Seismic Toss

Gyarados (Milotic) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Marvel Scale
EVs: 248 HP / 196 Def / 56 SpD / 8 Spe
Calm Nature
- Scald
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Dragon Tail

SuiCone (Suicune) (X) @ Leftovers
Trait: Calm Mind
EVs: 252 Hp / 252 SpD / 4 Def
Calm Nature
- Calm Mind
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Scald

Hell's Bell (Bronzong) (X) @ Leftovers/Light Clay
Trait: Heatproof
IVs: 0 Speed
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 Def
Sassy Nature
- Light Screen
- Reflect
- Gyro Ball
- Earthquake

Everyone expects levitate bronzong. Nope.

Yeah some of these sets are from smogon but they work great.

I may add more later. If you want to consider using regice, go ahead but it has the rock, fire, and fighting weakness you listed.

I can't believe Chansey is being bumped to UU; evo Chansey is a better wall than Blissey.
Nope. He doesn't have access to Lefties.
Baton pass aqua ring then it wil be better...
+1. Good answer. :D
I Don't know anyone who runs baton pass aqua ring other than huntail, which he doesn't, he runs shell smash.

Duskclops is your guy:

Dusclops @ Eviolite
enter image description here
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 176 SDef / 80 Def
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Will-O-Wisp
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Seismic Toss

Now this guy isnt the bulky thing out there, but with Eviolite and your opponent being burned you can not only wall special attacks but those physical ones too. Rest Talk combo in-case someone trys to ware you down with Poison or Burn or you just need to get back that HP you lost. Seismic Toss over Night Shade so you can hit everything except other ghost(which I doubt you will stay in on anyways) for 100 damage everytime. He resists Bug, and is Immune to Fighting. The other types you mentioned will be doing little to nothing to him.

Cresselia

Well if you can cope with bug, and have CM< then Cresselia is your guy. It can be defensive and with Calm Mind then it becomes almost untouchable. It can be used in UU, though not common. It has good means of recovery, like Moonlight and Lefties. It can also access Dual Screens, therefore weakening moves even more. To get of Toxic, Will'O'Wisp, etc.. It has Substitute. Also, Levitate erases and ground type moves, so even if it's not on your list there's one more move you don't have to worry about. A good set would be:
Cresselia @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Substitute / Moonlight
- Calm Mind
- Psychic
- Moonlight / Ice Beam

Sub or Moonlight, your choice, obviously if you choose Moonlight you can't choose Moonlight for the other slot down there. Rest is kinda self-explanatory, Ice Beam is for coverage.

I beat you by 30 seconds >:D Moonlight on a hail team?
Oh forgot that :C But that's why I have two choices ;)

Weak to none of those types:

image
Hitmontop
Item: Leftovers
Ab: Technician
EVs: 252 Sp. Def, 200 HP, 56 Atk
Nature: Careful
Bulk Up
Bullet Punch
Mach Punch
Rapid Spin/ Fake Out (depending on the rest of your team)

image
Hitmonchan
Item: Leftovers
Ab: Iron Fist
EVs: 200 Sp. Def, 200 Atk, 108 Speed
Nature: Careful
Bulk Up
Mach Punch
Bullet Punch
Ice Punch/ Rapid Spin

Problem is that that Hitmontop and Hitmonchan have no reliable forms of recovery outside of Rest, and both have a mediocre Defence.

image
Rotom
Item: Leftovers
Ab: Levitate
EVs: 252 Sp. Def, 252 HP, 4 Speed
Nature: Calm
Pain Split
Will-O-Wisp
Thunderbolt
Shadow Ball

I would suggest Rotom-Wash (best Rotom typing), but it's OU, and Rotom-Heat is weak to Rock & Water. Rotom also has no reliable form of recovery, since Pain Split is situational.

image
Mismagius
Item: Leftovers
Ab: Levitate
EVs: 252 Sp. Def, 200 HP, 56 Sp. Atk/ Speed
Nature: Calm
Calm Mind
Shadow Ball
Pain Split
Hidden Power Fighting

Again, situational recovery.

image
Cofagrigus
Item: Leftovers
Ab: Mummy
EVs: 252 HP, 200 Sp. Def, 56 Def
Nature: Calm
Calm Mind
Will-O-Wisp/ Haze
Shadow Ball
Hidden Power Fighting

^ The mother of all walls. I know Cofagrigus has a base 145 Def, but a 105 Sp. Def isn't shabby.

image
Dusknoir
Item: Leftovers
Ab: Pressure
EVs: 252 Sp. Def, 252 HP, 4 Def
Nature: Calm
Shadow Sneak
Will-O-Wisp
Pain Split
Shadow Punch/ Seismic Toss

image
Spiritomb
Item: Leftovers
Ab: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP, 252 Sp. Def, 4 Def
Nature: Relaxed/ Impish
Will-O-Wisp
Pain Split
Shadow Sneak
Foul Play

Other Pokemon that are hit by those moves neutrally (which come to mind) are Kingdra, Muk, and Ampharos, though neither would make an especially good wall.

Other options

image
Milotic
Item: Leftovers
Ab: Marvel Scale
EVs: 252 Sp. Def, 252 Def or HP, 4 Speed or Sp. Atk
Nature: Calm
Scald
Recover
Haze
Toxic/ Dragon Tail

image
Slowking
Item: Leftovers
Ab: Regenerator
EVs:128 Sp. Def, 128 Def, 252 HP
Nature: Calm
Scald
Slack Off
Fire Blast
Thunder Wave/ Psychic

image
Umbreon
Item: Leftovers
Ab: Synchronise
EVs: 252 HP, 4 Def, 252 Sp. Def
Nature: Careful
Wish
Heal Bell/ Yawn
Foul Play
Protect

image
Bronzong
Item: Leftovers/ Light Clay
Ab: Levitate
EVs: 128 Def, 252 Sp. Def, 128 HP
Nature: Relaxed/ Calm
Reflect
Light Screen
Hypnosis/ Stealth Rock
Gyro Ball

image
Scrafty
Item: Leftovers
Ab: Shed Skin
EVs: 252 HP, 4 Atk, 252 Sp. Def
Nature: Careful
Bulk Up
Drain Punch
Crunch
Rest

My favourite set for Scrafty, but Shed Skin isn't reliable.. in any case, this set sees a tank Scrafty that will be able to pack a punch with some set up.

Those are my ideas for a special wall. In any case, Ghost, Electric, Poison and Fighting are the only types that are hit by those moves neutrally. I might have missed some dual types that get neutral damage...

Only 5 pokemon you listed dont have a weakness to one of those types he listed. 3 of them have a weakness to 2 or more of these types.
... that's why I put them in Other Options. The first 5 meet the criteria of not having a weakness to any of the types listed, the others are alternatives that actually have reliable methods of recovery, which is what you want in a wall. I don't get why people can't see that, and downvoted me for essentially listing some of the same Pokemon that others did. Like Chansey isn't weak to fighting? Geez.
