Is there going to be a pokemon crystal remake?

Probably not. There was no Yellow remake when they made FireRed and Leafgreen. The remakes for Gold/Silver however included many features from Crystal version such as Eusine, Buena's Password, the Extremespeed Dratini, and more.

Yeah they remade the "generation" rather than specific games. I'm more interested to know if they will continue with remakes or not. The main reason they remade Red/Blue was because of the complete data overhaul in gen 3.

DPPt wouldn't be remade until the 6th generation so it's a LONG way off yet.
