If I wait to evolve my Pokemon will it still have the same stats?

I have a Kadabra and I can't trade it at the moment so I haven't been training it because I want it to have maximum stats, but I was wondering if it would just get the same amount of stats when I decide to evolve it or if it would have lower stats because its evolution was delayed

If you train it to maxed stats, when it evolves the Alakazam will have maxed stats as well. They would be higher than Kadabra since evolutions have more base stats than the pre-evolution.
