Does using a shiny Pokemon in the breeding of another Pokemon increase the chance for the hatched Pokemon to be shiny?

If it does I can get lots of shiny Pokemon!

It does not, unfortunately. The chance of getting a shiny is the same.

Thanks!
No problem, here is the chance rate btw: 1/8192
except for gen2
what's gen. 2's rate?
if one breeds a Shiny Pokémon properly, the offspring may have as high as a 1/64 chance of being Shiny, depending on the species of Pokémon.
