High attack power... 3 guesses what this set will be!

Ability: mold breaker

Dragon Dance/Swords Dance-These moves let you prepare before killing things. He actually has pretty decent defense, considering the fact that he's a sweeper.

Earthquake-Makes use of mold breaker, covers a ton of types...come on, it's Earthquake.

Outrage/Dragon Claw-the STAB move...quite literally.

Iron Tail/Brick Break-Covers Ice weakness. Power or reliability, your choice.

This is the best set I've seen and by far my preferred. I go Brick Break since it's both reliable and breaks those pesky Reflects and Light Screens.
Haxorus @ Wide Lens
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Attack/ 252 Speed/ 4 Sp. Def
Dragon Dance
Earthquake
Dragon Claw
Iron Tail

That's what I would do with this set. :)

This dude is just plain AWESOME. Excellent attack and great speed.

Ability: Mold Breaker is great, but Rivalry is worth a look
EVs: All out on Attack and Speed.
Item: Focus Sash/Band

  • Dragon Claw
  • Earthquake
  • Reversal, or Brick Break for reliability
  • Dragon/Swords Dance

Okay, I just want to say that I was for this guy whenhe was first revealed. You all know that I hope. And looks like I was right, although not about it being a Bug type :) This Pokemon, while in my opinion not going to be a replacement for Garchomp, might replace Salamence. At the very least it makes another great addition to the powerful Dragon line. He even makes it onto my Black version team.

Ability: Mold Breaker

EVs: Attack, Speed, Sp. Def. Nature: Adamant
Outrage/Dragon Claw: Outrage is more of an Uber move. If it is Overused, Dragon Claw is your best bet.

Dragon Dance: I like this move a lot better than Swords Dance. Let's face it, this makes anything into a sweeper. And since Ononokusu is already a sweeper, this makes it a super-sweeper.

Earthquake: Make use of Mold Breaker, take down anything that thinks they are safe from Earthquake just because of Levitate.

Night Slash: Okay, I expect some arguements on this one. But if this guy is Uber like I think he is, then that means there are going to be a lot of Psychics to deal with. Even if he isn't Uber, I really like this move.

Awesome dragon type

Ability Mold Breaker

Moves:
Dragon Dance-hit harder and faster
Earthquake-taking advantage of moldbreaker
Brick Break-covers ice type weakness
Outrage-STAB kill then die

Haxorus@Salac berry?

Nature: Jolly/Hasty/Naive
Ability: Mold-breaker
Evs: 252 attack, 252 speed, 6 hp

Dragon-Claw/Outrage
Earthquake
Reversal
Endure

Dragon-claw/Outrage is for STAB. Earthquake is coverage. Reversal has 200 bp at 1hp and by then he will have the salac berry boost and pwn all. This is a strategy no-one uses because everyone thinks Haxorus is running D-dance or Choice scarf this is a strong and fun Strategy.

The Ripper (Haxorus) (M) @ Salac Berry / Lichie Berry / Leftovers

Trait: Mold Breaker
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Substitute
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake

Name: Necrogon X
Trait: Mold Breaker
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spe, -SAtk)
Item: Wide Lens (for Dual Chop: new accuracy: 99%)

  • Dual Chop: STAB, Breaks Subs takes care of Focus Sash and Sturdy monsters.
  • Brick Break: Ice, Steel, Dark and Rock Coverage.(But mostly Ice XD) Wall Breaker
  • Shadow Claw: Type Coverage, High Critical-hit Ratio
  • Dragon Dance: This is OBVIOUS!! +1 Attack & +1 Speed

Somemight say replace Dual Chop with Dragon Claw.
-Both hits from Dual Chop can be critical hits.
-Breaks subs, sturdy, and focus sash.

So, no dragon claw.

This is a great idea with Dual Chop, even though outrage is there it cant help kill sub users.
even if dual chop gets two crits it gets 160 power same as one crit with dragon claw which is also more likely and more accurate

Haxorus (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Dragon Dance
- Dual Chop
- Rock Slide

Earthquake and Rock Slide get good coverage together. Dual Chop is there instead of Dragon Claw for Substitute. Dragon Dance increases Speed and Attack.

dual chop can be a pain because of its 90 accuracy when you want dual chop to hit it misses :(

Also theres this but its not recommended
Keys: * with outrage
Haxorus (M) @ persim berry*
Abilty: Rivalry
Nature: admant
Attract: If Rivalry fails use attract
Rock slide : coverage and its more useful then you think
Aerial ace: cant miss, more useful than you think
Dragon claw/outrage: Outrage is overused but if you want it give haxorus a persim berry

Set for Fraxure

Fraxure (M) @ Eviolite

Trait: Mold Breaker

Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)

  • Swords Dance
  • Dragon Claw
  • Night Slash
  • X-Scissor

yay necropost

Super-Sweeper/Catching Tool
(maximize Attack)

Ability: Rivalry

Swords Dance/Hone Claws (for Double Team spammers, TM interchangeable)
Dragon Dance
Dragon Claw/Outrage
X-Scissor/Shadow Claw/Poison Jab/False Swipe/Brick Break/Aerial Ace (all interchangeable TMs)

You might not need Hone Claws if you have Aerial Ace, but then again Aerial Ace is comparatively weak for a max attack strategy, unless you're against Renbu.

incredibly versatile, really...

Here is my sexist moveset. Enjoy.

Nature: Rivalry
Outrage Pure awesomeness
Rock Slide Coverage
Attract Since Rivalry makes you stronger against others of the same gender, this will annoy the enemy if it is the other gender.
Earthquake even more awesomeness

I know this is quite old, but it doesn't hurt to post a late answer. XD

Basically, I would suggest different movesets for different abilities. (Even though Mold Breaker really is the way to go)

Haxorus with Mold Breaker
- Dragon Dance (useful stat boosts)
- Dual Chop / Outrage (it depends if you want reliable hits and a Focus Sash breaker, or a powerful attack that leaves you locked in)
- Superpower (it deals with Ice-types that may get in your way, and the Attack drop can be replenished by Dragon Dance)
- Earthquake (a lot of coverage)

Haxorus with Rivalry
- Attract (in case of an opposite-gender opponent)
- Dragon Claw (steady hits)
- Earthquake (coverage)
- Dragon Dance (set up, especially if your opponent is infatuated)

Haxorus with Unnerve
Just no. Don't even bother.

I'm not the best at suggesting movesets, but this is what I would use.

Haxorus (M) @ Dragon gem/fang

1st of all EVERYONE should know that a haxorus has very high attack and defense so you should be very wise if your teaching it and these are the moves that i thought my haxorus which i think is awesome and very powerful

1st:Dragon claw(cause i cant find any other powerful dragon type moves yet and i dislike dragon tail
2nd:Sword dance(Rises the atk power rapidly which most of the times blows out the enemy)
3rd:Poison Jab(Its very succesful on poisoning the opponent and has very high damage)
4th:Shadow Claw(for high critical ratio and has quite high damage)

Item held:quick claw, razor claw, griseus orb(optional:if ur willing to teach it shadow claw)

answered Nov 29, 2011 by Haxorus1997
When did base 90 defense become "Very high"?
The Griseous Orb doesn't affect any Pokemon except for Giratina. It's one of those items that its effects will only be activated by a certain Pokemon. http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Griseous_Orb

Haxorus has great attack so it does powerful psysikal moves.

My haxorous has the ability rivarly and does even more powerful attack on male pokemon.

My moveset is:

Earthquake-powerful,covers a lot of types
dragon claw-STAB covers dragon weakness
outrage-even more powerful.used to the the 2 remaining pokemon in battle
brick brake-deals with ice types

Ev's: 252 attack & 252 speed
Ability:Mold breaker
Nature:adamant
Item: expert belt
Moves:
Dragon dance: to add to his already good attack and speed
brick break: wide coverage gets rid of ice weakness
dual chop: STAB move and gets rid of focus sash and sturdy
Earthquake: to utilize ability and wide coverage
Along with the expert belt, brick break and earthquake can give you some great results due to these two moves having a wide coverage. And if you use dragon dance first, the results will be devastating to your opponent.

Haxorus @ Persim Berry

Ability: Unnerve

Nature: Hasty (+Speed, -Defense)

-Dragon Pulse (STAB, good power, deals with Dragon type)

-Brick Break (Deals with Ice type)

-Earthquake (Good power, deals damage to Pokemon in Dig invulnerability)

-Outrage (STAB, good power, Persim Berry will snap off confusion)

*You can replace Brick Break with Iron Tail, although it has lower accuraccy.

Haxorus (M) @ Salac Berry
Trait: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Endure
- Reversal
- Outrage
- Earthquake

Haxorus has an incredible 147 base attack meaning he has the 3rd highest non-legendary attack stat after Rampardos and Slaking.

Endure lets him activate his Salac Berry, meaning that Reversal has huge BP.
Reversal for Endure + Salac Berry.
Outrage for incredible 180 Base Power. Also with 147 Base Attack Maxed Out, its pretty darn powerful.
Earthquake for Mold Breaker + Coverage. And its Earthquake.

I really like Iris in game moveset, on the rematch on challenge mode. Haxorus survives with a focus sash, uses D-Dance, and then sweeps. Unfortunately Iris doesnt realise that and uses a full restore leaving Haxorus to be killed. Focus Sash doesnt work as well in competitive, because Haxorus can probably survive an attack unless its a pretty powerful move, where he just has endure instead.
