Meta Battle Subway PokeBase - Pokemon Q&A

What is a good moveset for Conkeldurr?

He seems better than machamp.

Machamp still has no Guard though.
Still he has brute force  which makes up for it a little
Not really. Non of his most powerful moves are reliable enough to fight back.
Likely ter: Underused
LOL we thought he would be UU back then XD
sheer force/life orb combo is pretty neat though
Speed freak, I know XD When he turned out to be OU, everyone was freakin out XD

Let's try this:

Mach Punch/ Superpower-STAB, he's gonna switch a lot anyway. Mach punch gives some bone breaking priority.

Stone edge-Has a high critical hit chance, but the boosted power makes up for that, covers flying weakness.

Earthquake-Covers many types, good power, you know.

Payback-Payback for psychic coverage, force palm if you want to try to paralyze the foe and outspeed them, or scary face to outspeed the foe and force a switch on them, though I feel as if you're better off switching to a different pokemon if a psychic type is out, I guess it depends on the popularity of Psyshock.

a even better set

adament/careful 252 atk 232 hp 24 sp.def nature. guts/iron fist,
item leftovers

mach punch (STAB priority)

payback (good agansist psychic type's)

drain punch (STAB heals up conkeldurr)

bulk up (increase's atk plus defense and is very helpful if ur specially bulky u can wall ur oponents team and sweep slowly but surely)

An interesting Pokemon, with that Iron Fist ability and all. However, without the good move tutors, Guts is more useful

Ability: Guts

EVs: HP, Attack, Defense Nature: Adament

Facade: If you ever get a status condition, you get a big power boost. No Toxic Orb because that is too risky.

Drain Punch: Now does equal damage to Brick Break, but heals. Also with 10PP now. STAb=Great.

Stone Edge: Bye bye birdies.

Bulk Up: Physical power.

Conkeldurr (M) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk / 8 Def / 248 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Knock Off
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Ice Punch

iron fist?
Guts abuses status, which this thing attracts lol
I disagree with the EVs. I'd give it 252 HP/252 Atk/4 SDef. It is easier to do.
I use 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 SDef not much of a difference from yours lol

Conkeldurr is by far my favorite fighting pokemon, mine is names "Juggalo" and i run with this set

Conkeldurr @ leftlovers
Ability : Guts

  • Mach Punch ( get some priotrity, finish weak foes and give the last bit of damage)
  • Drain Punch ( recovery + leftlovers = ☺ )
  • Payback ( to get rid of that pesy ghosts )
  • Bulk up ( Setup )

The plan with this is sending out conkeldurr when the opponent is a physical attacker, then just bulk up 1 or 2 times ( 2 on bulky foes ) then drain punching

leftlovers? XD
for extra healing
I like heracross better
If you give it Lefties what's the point of having Guts? might aswell run an Iron Fist set with Leftovers.
I personally have a fighting mono and Conkeldurr is my tank. I gave him knock off to deal with ghost cuz everyone has items and if they have leftovers, it can get pretty annoying.

Conkeldurr @ Leftovers

Trait: Guts

EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SDef

Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)

  • Mach Punch
  • Drain Punch
  • Bulk Up
  • Payback

This set has no item to boost guts, but with this nice bulk toxic is an effective way to take him down but he gets a boost from it.
i choose leftovers over big root so you constantly get a little healing.

Max HP and max Special defense allows him to take special hits well, and the defense will be boosted.
Bulk Up Boosts his attack and defense by 50% each, i mean you don't really have to set up much, i would however suggest at least 2 times, but you can set up until you see his health is starting to fall from you opponents attacks.
now with max HP and max sp.def, in addition bulk up his very bulky and yet powerful.
Start Drain Punching to get your health back, STAB.
Mach Punch is nice STAB priority to have.
Payback is there to hit Ghosts wich are immune and takes zero damage from his fighting type moves whatsoever.

Hackeldurr (Conkeldurr) (M) @ King's Rock

Role: Haxy Trick Room Sweeper

Trait: Guts

EVs: 252 Atk / 8 Def / 248 SDef

Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)

  • Force Palm
  • Earthquake
  • Rock Slide
  • Bulk Up

Trick Room sweeper here.
Brave nature and just to note, I drained his speed Iv's out, for that extra T-room sweeping action.
Now for the haxy part, Force Palm has a 30% chance to paralyze, and with T-room he can hit first to inflict this. The key is, for Conkeldurr to be used near the end of your T-room time. Because when Trick Room's time runs out, your opponent is still slower because of Para-Hax, King's Rock is banned from Competitive Play Meaning if you're just battling for fun, it's fair game. Earthquake is that great coverage that everyone loves, while Rock Slide also provides some fun flinch hax, Bulk up can set up quickly to survive better once trick room dies out, because after you KO your paralyzed opponent, there's gonna be someone else coming in after him, setting up a Bulk up or 2 can help you handle whatever comes next a little bit better.

EV train attack and hp

Drain Punch(stab good for pokemon with high hp)

Earthquake(very good)

stone edge(covers flying)

Payback(covers psychic types, works well with brute force plus he has low speed so most of the time he will hit last)

Nature: Brave( works well with payback thus making speed 85)

Conkeldurr of DEATH@Guts

Item: Flame orb

Nature: Adamant

Evs: 252 attack, 100 S.def, 258 hp

Drain punch: Strong Stab as well as healing from the burn

Earthquake: Coverage

Stone edge: Coverage

Mach punch: Kills fast pokemon

answered Jul 15, 2011 by Speed freak
I know Guts is suppose to increase your attack stats but if a pokemon is burnt doesn't that lower it's attack by one stage?
a pokemon with guts doesn't get its attack down when it's burnt
The Attack drop does not occur on Pokemon with Guts, they still get the Attack boost.

Ability: Guts
Item Burn Orb

Facade-boosted by facade's ability and by guts. This thing is scary

Earthquake/Bulk up-Basic Type coverage, or boost stats even more.

Stone Edge-More type coverage.

Mach Punch-STAB.

Conkeldurr @ Fist Plate

enter image description here

Trait: Iron Fist

EVs: 212 HP / 124 SDef / 172 Atk

Adamant Nature

  • Drain Punch
  • Mach Punch
  • Substitute
  • Focus Punch

172+ Atk Fist Plate Iron Fist Conkeldurr Focus Punch vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Celebi: 193-228 (47.77 - 56.43%) -- 30.47% chance to 2HKO

172+ Atk Fist Plate Iron Fist Conkeldurr Focus Punch vs. 192 HP / 64 Def Reuniclus: 225-266 (55.01 - 65.03%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

172+ Atk Fist Plate Iron Fist Conkeldurr Focus Punch vs. 252 HP / 32 Def Tentacruel: 262-309 (71.97 - 84.89%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

This is a custom set I made up, and it is a set I will never ever hesitate to use. Ever. It literally wrecks anything that isn't immune to fighting type moves. Stuff that resists it is wrecked as well. If you look at the calcs, you'll find out. The only Pokemon being a "threat" are Gengar and an occasional Chandelure, which then becomes my top priority to take out, as that's what team members are for, right? xD Anyway, once a ghostie is down, Conk is on the warpath.

The one counter to this set that will always be dead before I use Conk: Landorus-T.

Gurdurr (M) @ Eviolite

Conkeldurr (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Iron Fist
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Substitute
- Focus Punch
- Drain Punch
- Stone Edge

Physical tank and sub-puncher.

The EVs make him bulky enough to take physical attacks while he sets up his sub. Then he can throw out STAB + Iron Fist Focus and Drain punches out.

Stone Edge is coverage mostly for ghosts like Gengar and Chandelure.

Unleash the destruction...

Ability: Iron Fist/Sheer Force

Nature: Adamant

EVs: 252 HP, 252 Att, 4 SpD

Item: Life Orb

Even though Conkeldurr's Iron Fist ability isn't released yet, I though I put together a moveset which could take full advantage of it and also it's other ability Sheer Force now that move tutors have been released.

Drain Punch: Very helpful move on a bulky attacker like Conkeldurr, helps recover any health lost and does massive damage with the Iron Fist ability.

Ice Punch: Helps to deal with those ever common Dragon types, makes Gliscor, Dragonite and Landorus think twice about coming in. Both abilities give it a nice boost in power.

Fire Punch: Helps to deal with the likes of Skarmory, Jirachi and other Steel types that are hit neutrally by Drain Punch. Skarmory in particular plays a dangerous game in when to use Roost or not. Once again a nice boost in power by both abilities.

Thunder Punch/Payback/Stone Edge/Rock Slide: Thunder Punch is great with dealing with bulky Water types such as Jellicent and Gyarados and get a power boost by both abilities. Payback is for if you don't won't to struggle against Ghost types, however it won't be doing much to bulky Ghost types like a Bulk Up set abusing Guts. Stone Edge is there if you got options dealing with Ghost types and bulky Water types. Same with Rock Slide but it gets a power boost from Sheer Force and is more reliable than Stone Edge.

How about this gutsy Conkeldurr of mine?

-Hammer Arm- STAB, lowers speed, helps with Payback
-Payback- Lower Speed doubles this move's Base Power, coverage against Psychic and Ghost types
-Earthquake- Coverage
-Stone Edge- Coverage against those Flying Types

Conkeldurr - Flame Orb

EVs: 252 atk, 252 HP, 4 def
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Guts
Thunder Punch
Ice Punch
Drain Punch
Mach Punch

Conkeldurr is definitely a slow pokemon, but a bulky one too, with his 105 base HP and 95 base defense. Guts lets him hit like a truck, and Adamant nature only adds to the punishment taken by the foe. Mach Punch Is STAB priority, and lets him get around embarrassing base 45 speed stat. Drain Punch is also STAB, and also provides a means of recovering some of that monstrous HP stat. Thunder Punch and Ice Punch make a sort of physical BoltBeam combo, making this set resisted by very few pokemon.

what happend to my immage?
can some one please edit my image so that it will show up its from the database.
With Guts, You need to put Flame Orb, Not Toxic Orb. Toxic will kill you quickly seeing as the damage increases. Burn is constant and you can recover with Drain Punch.

Sub + Status. You are losing too much HP. If you want SubFocus, use Leftover. Instead of Fling, give him Payback with minimal Speed.
Actually, Toxic Orb and Flame Orb will have done the same amount of damage after 5 turns.
Sorry ):
Poke'slash: You have no chance of living with badly poisoned. You can live with burn.
I HAVE SHINY CONKELDURR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

-mach punch
-drain punch
-rock slide/stone edge

252hp, 252 attack, 4 special defense
Trait-adamant (+Atk, -sp atk)
item-flame orb

mach punch for a priority stab, drain punch to heal his massive hp stat and heal burn damage, earthquake for coverage. If you do double battles I would recommend rock slide but if you do single battles than stone edge is probably the better choice here. Flame orb for guts ability.

-Rock Slide

This is my Conkeldurr. It is to be paired with a Talonflame with Quick Guard. That way, if other Talonflames are a problem, you just Quick Guard and block their Brave Birds, then Rock Slide.
