I have used both and personally I prefer Stoutland. Its Returns are very deadly and its coverage is nice.

Adamant Nature
-Return
-Wild Charge

No love for old Sandy, have we? Even with just 65 Speed, it becomes capable of running in circles around most of enemies in the Sand, even in the higher tiers. It also have a great STAB move in Earthquake and a supportive movepool to back it up.

- Earthquake
- Sword Dance
- Stone Edge
- Shadow Claw

Stoutland is the answer. It has better speed and and a wider movepool. compared to Sandslash it has less weaknesses, that are very common in the competitive world, such as watet, grass and ice.

Stoutland@ Choice Band
Nature: Adamant
Trait: Sand Rush

  • Return
  • Superpower
  • Crunch/Pursuit
  • Wild charge

Don't just use the text provided on Smogon. That shows you either have no understanding of competitive or you are just blooming lazy. You didn't even give quote / give credit to Smogon so just I removed it for you as I can only assume you could be done for plagerism or whatever it is XD
Sorry James, it is just my cousins keep plaguing my DB life. They did it once on the chat and on one of my other questions. Please forgive me. I know I am not supposed to be copy pasting things. But I really didn't. I hope you understand

Btw, thanks for checking "my" answers for me and clearing misplacements :)
Tis Ok. Sorry for making your answer smaller
No problem James
