If you have a good competitive moveset for Throh, post an answer below and upvote the best ones. Movesets for any of its pre-evolutions can also be shared on this thread.

Be sure to include full set details in your post, e.g. items, abilities, natures and EVs. Some explanation, including the intended game mode for your set, is also appreciated. Access the full list of guidelines here.

Throh Pokédex and learnset for reference.

Throh (M) @ Flame Orb

Trait: Guts

EVs: 8 HP / 252 Atk / 124 Def / 124 SDef

Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)

  • Facade
  • Revenge
  • Earthquake
  • Stone Edge

Note: This guy isn't OU, so Conkeldurr doesn't necesarily out class him.

He has crappy speed, so Revenge isn't a big deal, he's gonna be taking hits and dealing damage, so I suggest having a team mate with Wish support on your team ( Audino maybe...? ) or something along that line.

Facade gets boosted power from Flame Orb, ( On top of the fact that he already has Guts ) so that handles your neutral coverage ( Mostly used for psychics )

Earthquake and Stone Edge are both for coverage.

Ugh he has a beastly HP stat why not use it. It's gonna help him last longer from the burn.
Burn actually takes out a percentage of your HP. So he'd actually lose MORE hp by investing EVs into it.
Flame Orb, Guts, and Facade- like it, but leave that up 2 Zangoose

Throh (M) @ White Herb
Trait: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)
- Substitute
- Superpower
- Earthquake
- Payback

A good sub abuser.
Throwing this guy in and making him look threatening is always fun. Sub up on the switch to get that out of the way. Now you can use Superpower twice before being forced out.
And to top it off you get Mold Breaker - Earthquake and a ridiculously slow pokemon that can spam Payback!

I know this set doesn't look too amazing but in practice it's been excellent. I took my mold breaker throh as a joke,,, until it wiped out my whole team in mix battle.

Throh
Careful nature
Evs: 100hp, 180 attack, 92 defense, 108 sp def, 32 speed (a rough black 2 playthrough pre-league.)
Ability: mold breaker
Item: leftovers/rocky helmet
moves:
-Circle throw (storm throw works too)
-Earthquake
-Ice punch
-Bulk up
Doesn't look like much, but this thing isn't an idea, I've actually used it. It worked great. I wasn't particularly happy with it's ev spread, but a pre-league playthrough doesn't let you be picky. It's vurnerable to burns but I swear this thing has more than pulled it's weight for me. I'm more posting this because of how well it worked, purely by accident. I mostly used it in game, but in competitive this guy has killed dragons and smashed opposing teams, sometimes (like, once or twice) just by itself. Though those were flukes, admittedly. This throh has worked well with me, but it might not fit everyone. Fun to use, though.

Here is the most disgusting Throh set ever:

Throh @ Leftovers
Ability: Mold Breaker
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 188 HP / 156 Def / 164 SpD
Careful Nature
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Circle Throw
- Bulk Up

I came across this set once on battle factory and it was impossible to break through. So basically what you do is, Keep using Bulk Up. When your HP gets low, heal with Rest and use Sleep Talk and hope for Bulk Up or Circle Throw.

EVs: 4 HP / 240 Atk / 88 Def / 176 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Bulk Up
- Circle Throw
- Payback
- Stone Edge

The sequels of Black and White 2 introduced the Move Tutors to the Unova Region, and has since impacted the Metagame. Moves that were once impossible to learn have opened new doors for Pokemon that were unable to achieve their greatest potential. A prime example includes Throh and his evolved form, Sawk, who have both been given access to Pain Split.

Gen. V BW2 "Hulk" Set

Throh (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Guts
EV's: 252 HP / 144 Atk / 108 SDef
Adamant Nature: (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Storm Throw
- Ice Punch
- Bulk Up
- Pain Split

This set is for the Tank role. It takes advantage Throh's High HP, Defenses, and Attack. Bulk Up increases both his Attack and Defense, strengthening Storm Throw to devastating levels and allowing him to take even the strongest Flying type moves like a boss. Pain Split grants him a form of recovery to use after sponging damage while he sets up, and Ice Punch provides coverage against those cocky Flying types. His Guts ability prevents the 1/2 damage from any attempts to stop his reign of terror with a Burn, Paralysis, or Toxic. In fact, he will gain a 50% boost from any status alignment, thus increasing his attack even higher.

*The SDef investment is for Special Attackers who try to expose his weaker Special Defense.

Judo (Throh) @ Flame Orb
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 HP / 200 Atk / 56 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Taunt
- Revenge
- Bulk Up
- Earthquake/ Payback

Taunt is used to make your opponent use only attacking moves so Revenge can always have a Base Power of 120- same as Superpower! Earthquake is used for coverage, but Payback can be used to deal with Psychic types. Raise your Attack and Defense with Bulk Up, along with the Flame Orb+ Guts combo.
