Reflect/Brick Break does Defense raise affect damage before it breaks the screen?

So if I have screen up and they use Brick Break, does it bypass the defense boost before dealing damage?

If brick break is used when the enemy has Reflect, it will break the Reflect before inflicting damage. Therefore, Brick Break's power is not weakened by Reflect the turn it breaks Reflect. I hope this helps. -Jellohamster
