Assuming they are different genders you can breed them in daycare. How long it might take to produce an egg is just chance however, so you might have just been getting unlucky. Keep trying and they should give you an egg soon.

The chance of getting an egg is 19.8% chance every 255 steps, assuming your Pokemon have the same ID number (i.e. you caught them both yourself).

If they are both opposite gender then they are breedable. Also Pokemon may only breed with other Pokemon that have the same Egg group. Golbats egg group is called Flying group. Staraptors group is also the Flying group.
So as you can see, these two Pokemon can breed because they are in the same egg group, you just have to be patiente.
Here's a tip: go to the daycare man and he will tell you if your Pokemon get along or not. If he says "they dont like each other very much" it doesnt mean they cant breed, they eventually will but it will take time. If he says "They get along well" then the chance of them breeding increases. Also when you have these two Pokemon in the daycare taking a good amount of steps helps. (Use the bycicle, its faster)

Hope I helped.

Well, not entirely true. Not all Pokemon are breedable. Some Pokemon belong to egg group - ah, I think the name is Undiscoverd, however that could be the wrong name.

Yes, but his question was about Golbat and Staraptor - both of which are in the Flying egg group, and so can breed.
