Where is sandshrew?

I search the safarizone for a long time and I all I found where nideran, touros, and ryhorns I did it in the savannah I know the guy said desert but savannah is the closest thing

There actualy IS a desert region. If you go to the blue machine with lots of little squares on it's screen (the area custiomizer) before you enter the zone, you can swap out what 6 areas you have in the Safari Zone. Swap one fot the Desert area (they're all labeled) and then search there. Good luck!
