Dragon claw breaking out of ice?

Question

My giratina just fought with a weavile and the weavile froze my giratina. I had no choice but to wait since I have no ice heals but when I used dragon claw my Pokemon got out!!!

That's normal. Pokemon have a 20% chance of thawing out every turn that they are frozen.
