Meta Battle Subway PokeBase - Pokemon Q&A

Why does Durant have truant?

0 votes

So Durant's hidden ability is truant? why? it doesn't seem like that lazy of a Pokemon, and none of its Pokedex entries mention it being lazy at all. Is there some kind of strategy with truant for Durant?

Gamefreak wanted it like that
how do i like a comment on this site because you sir, deserve a multitude of likes on that comment.
Hey, we get it, say that once is already enough. Saying that like 35 times doesn't help JarJar.
It's just a joke dude...
Lol it's a joke.
OH SORRY I DIDN'T SEE THAT IF ONLY JAJA HAD PUT IT SEVERAL HUNDRED MORE TIMES
Really? I thought several thousand more times would have been beneficial.

Game Freak most likely wanted a Pokemon to use the strategy of giving the opponent the Truant ability (possibly as a joke). This is possible since Durant gets Entrainment, a move that replaces the target's ability with the same one as your own.

It's a gimmicky strategy though. I don't recommend it since a Truant Durant is basically useless ability passing aside.

Truant --> Turant --> Durant

They probably just coincide, but I noticed that as well. xD
