Competitive battling team problem, decisions?

So I recently just hatched a shiny bagon, I am going to use salamance in a competitive battling team, but the shiny bagon only has defense IV although it has desired nature. I also have a bagon that has desired nature and IV's but not shiny, which one should I choose?

Use the bagon that has desired nature and IVs and isn't shiny,
A shiny Pokemon makes no difference whatsoever in a battle - it doesn't get increaased stats or anything. The only value a Shiny Pokemon has is aesthetic (looks) value and bragging rights with friends.
