How does rotom change?

Question

How can rotom change forms in Pokemon X and Y? Or can rotom even change forms in X and Y in the first place?
judge me on how this question is. it's my first question ^-^'

Follow these steps~!

1. Make sure Rotom is in your party.
2. Fly to Lumiose City.
3. Head to Professor Sycamore's laboratory, you know, the place where you chose your Kanto Stater...
4. Take the lift to the second floor.
5. Head down, you should see a bunch of cardboard boxes which contain old electrical appliances, head over to one, press A to interact with it.
6. If Rotom is in your party, you will be given the option to choose whichever form you want! You can do this multiple times, as many times as you want!

You can change Rotom's form in Lumiose City at Professor Sycamore's Lab on the second floor.
