What is a good moveset for Togekiss?

Mine knows:
- Ancient Power (When paired with Serene Grace - Incredible!)
- Aura Sphere (Great power, infinite accuracy and coverage)
- Air Slash (STAB, 60% flinch probability)
- Nasty Plot (Great combo with a full special moves)

Togekiss is a great Special attacker, but never put physical moves on it, unless you're gonna try out Para-flinch. Anyway, here's are good moveset options that I've tried on my Togekiss, Eggshell.

AURA SPHERE
(Incredible coverage, perfect for wall-breaking against Rock, Steel, Normal, and Ice-types)

HIDDEN POWER (GROUND) / TRI-ATTACK
(Stronger than Mud-Slap, and Special-based, Hidden Power (Ground) is an incredibly useful utility on a Togekiss. If you can't get this on your Togekiss, go for Tri-Attack)

MAGICAL LEAF
(Take out Bulky Water-types; surprises Quagsire, Swampert, and Lanturn)

THUNDER WAVE / AIR SLASH /
SHADOW BALL / SILVER WIND
(A lot of options here! Togekiss is slow, so Thunder Wave is a good utility to speed it up. Air Slash is a potent STAB option with a 60% chance to flinch, which also helps similarly to Thunder Wave. Shadow Ball takes care of Psychics and Ghosts who will try to hinder your sweeping. Finally, Silver Wind punishes Grasses, Psychics, and Darks. It also has a 20% chance of raising ALL of Togekiss' stats, making for incredible sweeping AND walling capabilities.)

How can it even learn Tri-Attack?
pokemon xd gale of darkness sp moves are tri attack, follow me, ancient power and helping hand for togepi, then send to gen 4 then evolve it
This has helped me a little. It helped me set up a togekiss with hidden power (ground), nasty plot, aura sphere, and air slash. I think flamethower would fit better, though.

Togekiss (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 80 HP / 80 Def / 252 SAtk / 16 SDef / 80 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Thunder Wave
- Air Slash
- Wish
- Aura Sphere

Bulky Sweeper, para hax and flinch hax mixing is fun, wish is for team support and you can probably flinch the turn for you to use it. Aura sphere is great coverage, and air slash is STAB.

Great set! Mine is the same, though I would've changed Wish to Roost if I had the chance to.
Most EV boosts I've ever seen in my life.

I actually won the first PO tournament on this site with this Togekiss.
You don't blame him for winning? Was he supposed to lose or something?

Togekiss
Ability: Serene Grace
Nature: Timid (+Spe, -Atk) or Modest (+SpA, -Atk)
EVs: 252 SpA, 252 Spe, 4 SpD
Item: King's Rock/Leftovers- Leftovers is ur standard healing item or if you want to annoy ur opponent, air slash+serene grace+king's rock= 70% chance of flinching
- Air Slash- STAB and 60% chance of flinching with Serene Grace
- Aura Sphere- high power, never misses, defeats ice and rock weakness, and kills bulky steels and normal types
- Nasty Plot/Thunder Wave/Roost- boost your special attack power, be even more annoying with paralysis, or heal your HP
- Shadow Ball/Psyshock/Tri-Attack- Shadow Ball to take out annoying ghost types, psyshock for Special walls like Blissey, or high power STAB move that when combined with king's rock = 50% chance of either paralyze, burn, freeze, and/or flinching (Just in case anyone was wondering you get Tri-Attack on Togekiss by trading over the togepi from Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness)

Since its impossible to get Nasty Plot and Tri-Attack, it's probably better to give Tri-Attack Togekiss a Modest Nature and Thunder Wave. For Nasty Plot Togekiss you can give it a Modest Nature but I prefer a Timid Nature because you are already boosting your Special Attack with Nasty Plot.

King's rock doesn't stack with moves that already cause flinch.

Togekiss (M) @ Choice Scarf

Trait: Serene Grace

EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd

Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)

  • Flamethrower
  • Air Slash
  • Aura Sphere
  • Shadow Ball

Flamethrower gives Sick nasty coverage, and it's just plain awesome.
Air Slash gives STAB and a pretty nice flinch rate, while Aura Sphere and Shadow Ball provide more sick nasty coverage.

This guy covers 485 Pokémon; recommended for sun teams only, however:

  • Solarbeam (Psyshock/Flamethrower are also good)
  • Shadow Ball
  • Aura Sphere
  • Air Slash

Just make sure it has as high SAtt and Spe as possible.

I made this set for birthday Togekiss, which cannot have any IV gen, egg or previous-evolution moves. Note it has the Super Luck ability and therefore is not good as para-flicher.

Togekiss (M) @Life Orb
Trait: Serene Grace
EV's: 252 Sp. Att / 252 Speed / 4 HP
Modest Nature (+Sp. Att -Attack)
~ Ancient Power (Use a PP Max)
~ Ominous Wind (Use a PP Max)
~ Silver Wind (Use a PP Max)
~ Air Slash (STAB)

This is one of my favourite Togekiss sets. Serene Grace allows the 3 "all Stat raisers" to get a more frequent Stat rise. Make sure they are up to the MAX PP so that you get a bit of relief. Air Slash is just a STAB and a chance to flinch is quiet often and getting a flinch is awesome.
I HOPE YOU LIKE/LOVE (Hopefully atleast) MY TOGEKISS SET! =D

I'm new but here goes
Togekiss
quiet nature (+sp attack-speed)
ability-Hustle
EVs 252hp 128 attack 128 sp attack
moveset:
-work up
-extremespeed-Stab priority
-fire blast-coverage
-hidden power ground-coverage

I thought since everyone was using serene grace on there movesets I' do one with hustle.
Hustle only reduces the accuracy of extremespeed so the accuracy drop isn't too big a problem compared to the boosted power. The EVs are in Hp to tank hits while the rest are split between offenses. The lack of speed isnt a problem with extremespeed.

Actually, I'd rather not take advantage of the hustle ability since Togekiss has a pitiful attack stat of 50.

Togekiss
Serene Grace

Aura Sphere (covers rocks and ice)
Metronome (randomness)
Sky Attack (good chance of flinching)
ExtremeSpeed

Since Togekiss has high Special Attack and low Attack, Sky Attack and ExtremeSpeed won't do a whole lot of damage. Metronome is, like you said, random, but so random that you probably won't get a good move.
I'm glad to see I am not the only one who keeps metronome. XD

What about this?
Nature: modest/timid
Ability: serene grace
Item: leftovers
Moves:
Aura sphere: coverage
Air slash: STAB
Flamethrower/fire blast: takes out steel types better, especially the likes of Scizor and Escavalier
Nasty plot: AMAZING increase and power.

Togekiss@leftovers

Nature:Modest
Ability:Serene grace

Moves:

  • Roost (Amazing for togekiss )

  • Aura sphere (coverage)

  • HP gound/Ancient power (coverage)

  • Air slash (STAB)

Pretty simple togekiss, Roost of cource paired up with leftovers and togekisses ok defences make quite a reliable recovery. It has Aura sphere and HP ground/ Ancient power to cover most Pokemon. And then there is air slash for flinching and STAB.

This is my personal favorite moveset for this Pokémon, and the one I use on my own Togekiss, Magic Egg.

Togekiss (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 SpAtk / 96 Speed / 80 Defense / 80 HP
Nature: Timid (+Speed -Atk)

Note:
-Timid is a good nature because Togekiss could use some extra speed, and Atk means absolutely nothing to a SpAtk beast like Togekiss.

Moveset

-Dazzling Gleam: (Type: Fairy / Power: 80 / Accuracy: 100) Decent coverage, I suppose, but STAB is what we want here.
However, if you are pre-generation six, Shadow Ball can be substituted for Dazzling Gleam.
-Shadow Ball: (Type: Ghost / Power: 90 / Accuracy: 100) Fair chance of lowering SpDef, making Togekiss even more of a threat. Again, decent coverage, but that's not what we want with this move.

-Air Slash: (Type: Flying / Power:75 / Accuracy: 95) Let's take advantage of Serene Grace, shall we? STAB + 60% Flinch Chance. Nothing more needs to be said.

-Aura Sphere: (Type: Fighting / Power: 80 / Accuracy: Can't miss) Now, for all you type advantage people, behold aura sphere! Covers Ice, Rock, and Steel (Gen VI) weakness, along with dark and normal. Also never misses. If that isn't extreme coverage, what is?

-Psyshock: (Type: Psychic / Power: 80 / Accuracy: 100) A counter to counter a counter. Confused? In the. Case that Togekiss is up against a Pokémon with high SpDef (which typically has low Def) Psyshock is based on the user's SpAtk and the target's Def stats.

I hope this helps you as much as it helps Magic Egg and I, thanks for reading my first ever post!

Go with:

aurasphere-double coverge and powerfull

mudslap\extreamspeed-m"s is the only move togekiss can lern (from movetouter) that covers up elctric
extream speed is STAB and praeorety

air slash-high sp attack and STAB

psychic-great power

answered Dec 31, 2010 by charizard
Ancient Power is pretty good if the Togekiss has Serene Grace
extrasensory is better if you want a better flinch rate

Ultimate Double Team Phazer
Ability: Hustle
Item: Expert Belt
Nature: Naughty
EVs: 252 Atk 10 Carbos 10 Calcium 7 HP Up

Moves:

Aerial Ace- never-miss STAB, works really well with Hustle and max Atk, especially super effective.
Aura Sphere- never-miss coverage for ice and rock
Magical Leaf- never-miss coverage for rock/ground types
Shock Wave- never-miss coverage for other flying types

All never-miss moves worked surprisingly well for me, you could go all special and switch Aerial Ace with Swift, and get a Modest or Timid with max Sp.atk EVs and Spd, but cover less types. This could kill Blissey fairly quick with Aerial Ace. Or, you could get a more defensive Togekiss with Toxic to stall out Double Teamers. Bottom line: bye bye, Double Teamers!

PS: Togekiss with his stats can pull off just about anything, whether it be pure defense, pure offense, or a combination in between. Pick the style that works for you. If you hate Double Teamers as much as I do, this is ur set. Also, I put in Expert Belt so it'd have opportunities to boost all moves, but other good items to give are the common Leftovers, Sky Plate to get the x1.2 boost neutral and supereffective, Zap Plate, Meadow Plate, or Fist Plate, depending on which move you want boosted most. No matter what, Gallade don't stand a chance against Aerial Ace!

Move set
Encore, Wish, Thunder Wave, Sweet Kiss.

This move set is more of a supportive or capture set. For example, the opponent uses rain dance. Just use encore to lock the enemy on. Paralyze it with thunder wave and confuse it with sweet kiss. In need of healing, just use wish.

tailwind supporter/sweeper

togekiss
ability: serene grace
hold: leftovers/lum berry
nature: modest
ev's: 252HP, 252SpA, 4def

air slash-STAB, high flinch chance
aura sphere-never misses, coverage
shadow ball-coverage
tailwind-doubles team speed

while not being a para-flincher, this togekiss offers support to the team in the event of it fainting while sporting power with SpA investment and a fair amount of bulk with max hp. tailwind can allow for revenge-killing and helps Pokemon that need a speed boost to set up or immediately sweep (crawdaunt is a perfect example). while not cutting your foe's speed, it nullifies the point of a ground-type switch-in attempt on the usual thunder wave and works around lum bearers and chesto-rest.

answered Jul 17, 2013 by astrichthyes
this set, although effective, is not quite as good as my sub-plot set that took out a snorlax with +3 in both defenses, +6 atk from belly drum, rest, and crunch. That is pretty remarkable for a pokemon with no defense boosts
