Hi everybody, thanks for taking the time to answer my question.
Is Machamp a viable Pokemon competitively? I like him because he looks cool and has been good to me in story mode play, but how does he stack up in competitive play? Are there any notably good builds for him?
Thanks,

Beninator

Oh yes, it is. It can take any hit (with no boosted stats by the opponent) with the assault vest. Also, with No Guard, Dynamic Punch is a must. Here is the set I use on Pokemon Showdown for my amazing machamp:

Machamp@Assault Vest
Trait: No Guard
Adamant Nature
EVs: 252 Atk, 252 Def, 4 Spd
Moves:
Dynamic Punch: STAB, hits every time, 100% confusion
Stone Edge: Covers Flying weakness
Bullet Punch: Priority, covers Fairy weakness
Knock Off: "Knocks Off" foes item, demolishing their strategy

Hope I helped!

You should note that Machamp is in UU, and shouldnt be used in OU.
I know
But it can be good in OU
it can be good, but there are better fighting types to be used like Conkeldurr, Lucario (which for some reason is in UU), Breloom (Sashloom), Keldeo etc.
It can take out Heatran, Stone Edge the Togekiss, pretty much anything!
Also I have both Machamp and Conk on my mono fighting team, and they work really well together!
Also. Every fighting type can take out Heatran, and most of them cover coverage moves for crap like Togekiss (eg. Rock Tomb/Stone Edge on Sashloom, Icy Wind on Keldeo, Ice Punch Conkeldurr) so your point is somewhat invalid.
