Garchomp
Nature: Hasty
Trait: Sand Veil
Item: Leftovers/Sitrus Berry/ Focus Band
- Dragon Rush/Draco Meteor (Covers Dragon weakness)
- Stone Edge (Comeplete Coverage against Ice Weakness)
- Crunch (Suggestion, May lower Foe's defense, Also good if Foe has Froslass)
- Sandstorm/Earthquake/Brick Break (Sandstorm: Increases Evasion, Earthquake: High Power and Accuracy, Brick Break: Coverage against Ice since Stone edge doesn't have as high accuracy.)
My Garchomp has none of these moves, in fact, I just made it up, but since I thought of this, Im gunnna Give him these moves
Ha lol shiny Mega Garchomp is pink.
shiny garchomp is.... .WUT
I'd just give it speed and HP EVs and spam Swords Dance......
 - Dragon Claw
 - Iron Head (fairies)
 - Earthquake
 - Swords Dance
Simple and to the point.
I think shiny megas generally don't look as good to discourage genning shinies... Maybe.

Sweeper

Trait: Rough Skin
Item: Choice Band
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -SpAk)/ Jolly (+Spd, -SpAk)
EVs: 252 Atk/ 192 Spd/ 64 HP

•Dragon Rush/ Dragon Claw
•Earthquake
•Fire Fang
•Stone Edge

Dragon Rush should be used with Hone Claws and Stone Edge (it would probably be smarter to have a wall use Hone Claws, and use Baton Pass to introduce Garchomp). Dragon Claw is only if you just have a different style.
Earthquake is just obvious. 150 power (STAB included) and 100 accuracy are obviously needed for any Garchomp.
Fire Fang gives you some protection against Ice types. Fire and Dragon is unresisted neutral coverage.
Stone Edge abuses Hone Claws boost.

This Garchomp (with full Hone Claws) would be able to knock out a team faster than you can blink.

Garchomp
Nature: Hasty
Ability: Sand Veil
Item: Focus Sash/Leftovers

  • Sandstorm
  • Dragon Rush
  • Fire Blast
  • Earthquake

I'll explain everything.
First of all, I chose the nature Hasty so that Garchomp's speed will go higher. Sand Veil and Sandstorm go perfectly together, as Sand Veil boosts the Garchomp's evasion in a sandstorm. Dragon Rush is a very strong Dragon-type move, normally when I use it the move will knock out the opponent in one go! It covers the Dragon-type weakness as well. Fire Blast will cover up the weakness of Ice (4x) and is strong. Earthquake is, well, Earthquake and has STAB.

It doesn't get Sand Rush, I'd bet it would be Ubers. If you mean Sand Veil, that is banned on the simulators. Also, try to give it more than 255 EVs.

I have a Garchomp in Pearl. If this is the game you play, you should go to Route 210 and visit Grandma Wilma. If your Garchomp trusts you, she will teach it Draco Meteor.

Draco Meteor - Power of 140 and an accuracy of 90. PP is only 5 but that can certainly be raised quite a bit.
Sand Tomb - Power is 35, accuracy is 85, PP is 15. It lasts up to five turns. I use it because it pairs well with Dig.
Dig - Power is 80, accuracy is 100, PP is 10. It is a 2 turn move so it's a great dodge, and a good finisher move after the opponent has taken some damage from Sand Tomb. I do this also to avoid being overly reliant on Draco Meteor since the PP is so low.
Flamethrower/Fire Blast - Either is fine for this moveset. I did this mainly for a fire advantage. I went with Flamethrower because it has more PP, and 100% accuracy. Fire Blast has 120 power, but only 85% accuracy.

If you can't get Draco Meteor, you can always teach it Dragon Rush instead, which it learns by leveling up. Only problem with Dragon Rush is the accuracy is 75%.

Nature:Adamant/Jolly
Item:Wide Lens
EV: Attack + Speed
Ability:Sand Veil

-Dragon Rush(STAB + Wide Lens = BEAST!!)
-Earthquake(STAB + Duh...)
-Brick Break(for those annoying Screeners)
-Stone Edge/Fire Fang(coverage against Ice, choose between power and burning/flinching

I use Stone Edge for the reason I like the power, but I used Fire Fang a couple of times and it also works out...Wide Lens is just perfect with this moveset

my oppinion of a perfect movset and natur is

Nature: Adamant (Atk+,SpAtk-)
ev train in Atk 252 , speed 252 and Hp 4
Item: garchompnigth (to mega evolve)
Ability: sand veil ( sand force in mega, wicth increse steel, rock and grond atk by 30 %)
Moves:
Firefang/ dragon dance: firefang against ice weakness/ dragon dance to increase speed and atack
Eartquake: best ground move ever + stab ( in mega 130 base power)
Stone egde: powerful, takes down alot of types ( like earthquake, 130 basepower in mega + stab)
dragon claw: better then outrage, beacuse dont leaves with confusion, + you can use other atacks. also stab.

if you disagree, or have other good ideas, please replay :)

Garchomp (M) @ Garchompite

My Garchomp
Nature: Rash +SP-ATK -SP-DEF
Ability: Sand Veil (not really used on this build)
Item: Life Orb

Attacks:
Earthquake - Heavy hitting and accurate, benefits both from STAB and Garchomp's emphasis on ATK over SP-ATK.
Outrage - Massive Damage with STAB, ATK emphasis and, Life Orb Boost.
Flamethrower - strong reliable attack that helps cover 4x ICE weakness.
Surf - Also strong & reliable, helps expands super effective pool and, can be used in overworld.

Garchomp (F) @ Garchompite (If not Gen VI: Soft Sand)
Trait: Sand Veil (Mega Garchomp: Sand. Force)
Nature: Jolly (+Speed - SpAtk)
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Speed / Whatever's left
Moveset

-Dragon Claw: (Type: Dragon / Power: 80 / Accuracy: 100) STAB, and covers dragon weakness.

-Poison Jab: (Type: Poison / Power: 80 / Accuracy: 100) Covers Fairy weakness, slight poison chance.

-Earthquake: (Type: Ground / Power: 100 / Accuracy: 100) Perhaps the most important move for a Garchomp. Mega Garchomp's Sand Force, combined with STAB, can cause some serious wreckage. Also covers Ice weakness.

-Sandstorm: Extra evasiveness, and for reasons explained above. Plus additional damage to the opponent.

I hope this helps you as much as it did me. Thanks for reading!

Jolly Garchomp@Choice Band
Rough Skin

EVs 252 speed/252attack/4 HP

Earthquake
Dragon Claw/Outrage
Rock Slide/Stone Edge
Iron Head

Earthquake is for STAB and coverage, Dragon Claw is for accuracy and consistency. Even though outrage works well with Choice Band, you can't predict which Pokemon it will hit. Rock Slide is because you get more accuracy than Stone Edge, and it hits both Pokemon, Iron Head for coverage.

I got a pretty awesome set here

Garchomp@Rocky Helmet
Trait: Rough Skin
Jolly nature
EVs: 252 attack, 252 speed, 4 HP

Hone Claws- Beefs up attack and sharpens accuracy
Dragon Rush- STAB, almost never misses with Hone Claws
Iron Tail- Fairy coverage, almost never misses with Hone Claws.
Earthquake- For those of you who don't know, STAB, high power, 100% accuracy

Rough Skin+ Rocky helmet will make any contact moves have pretty high recoil for the opponent. You can replace Rocky Helmet with Garchompite if you want a mega on your team, but if you do, I recommend using an ally with Sand Stream to take advantage of Sand Force. Normally when using this set, set up Hone claws when you have the chance and start sweeping. Mawile won't be KO'd by iron tail since its also a steel type? No problem! Earthquake's got you covered.

To bad that Garchomp's mega form gets a small decrease in its speed because some Fairy, Dragon and Ice types can have a big advantge on it even though it has high attack and yeah anyway Garchomp is a great physical attacker and drgaon/ground type for your team, poor electric types don't even have a advantage because of Garchomp's typeing unless it knows hidden power ice and the you are screwed. In this set it'l make it fast and very offensive as if it already has the perfect IVs for attack and speed or as if it had both a adamant and a jolly nature!

Garchomp
Item: Rock Helmet or Choice Scarf
Ability: Rough Skin
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Attack, 252 Speed and 4 HP
Moveset:
-Dragon Claw
-Earthquake
-Iron Head
-Stone Edge (if you are going with the Choice Scarf) or Swords Dance (If you are going with the Rocky Helmet)

With a Jolly nature, Garchomp will be swift than usual. With Rough Skin paired up with a Rocky helmet would do serious damage to the opponent if it has a contacting move or you can Scarf it with a Choice Scarf and make its great physical moves monsterous. Dragon Claw is for STAB, great power and perfect accuracy, Earthquake is also a STAB move and has the perfect accuracy and hits alot of your opponents and yes your allys in double or triple battles but still great move. Iron Head is for coverage agenst those big mean sneaky ice types, and those pesky fairy types and it has 30% chance of causeing a flinch. Swords Dance raises attack by 2 stages or you can go with Stone Edge for greater power and a small chance of causeing critical hits.)

READ THIS: just so you know Iron Head is a egg move so you may have to do some mateing spree to your Garchomps.

Sandstorm if he has the ability that when there is a sandstorm his evasion raises.
earthquake
outrage whem prisim berry is attached
Giga impact.
Not bad!!

answered Jul 21, 2010 by J DOG DE LEGEND
I'm sorry, but Giga Impact? Giga Impact doesn't do any super effective damage AND you waste a turn recharging. Dragon Rush hits with the same power, but without the troublesome recharge.
