I breed pokemon in the game and am pretty good at IVs and EVs and such. I have thought of a few good tactics, such as

• Safe Guard and Outrage/Petal Dance/Thrash (avoids confusion ailment)
• Mimic and Imprison (permanent Disables last move)
• Swagger/Flatter and Psych Up/Haze (either gives you upped stats or resets theirs)
• Defense Curl followed by Roll Out (makes roll out stronger)
• Rain Dance and Thunder (Thunder never misses)
• Belly Drum and Rest (works best with a chesto berry. Maximizes attack)
• Sunny Day and Solar Beam (solar beam no longer needs to charge)
• Endure and Flail/Reversal (makes the attack moves really strong compared to normal)

What are some of the best move combos that you have found so far? :D

THE ALMIGHTY Double Battle Strategy

Requirements:

Raikou @ Life Orb
Trait: Volt Absorb
Evs: 4 Hp / 252 Spa / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
~ Discharge
~ Hidden Power Ice
~ Substitute
~ Calm Mind

Don't even ask. They do not have to be shiny.

Jolteon @ Life Orb
Trait: Volt Absorb
Evs: 4 Hp / 252 SpA / 242 Spe
Timid Nature
~ Discharge
~ Signal Beam
~ Shadow Ball
~ Hidden Power Grass

The Strategy:

Use Discharge when your health is low and you can attack the opponent as well as heal yourself! You would never die! You Can easily recover from the recoil use by doing this.

Shuckle (Ability: Sturdy, Held Item: Rock Gem) - O EVs Speed, 252 Defense, 252 Sp. Defense

• Trick Room
• Power Trick
• Stone Edge

• (Any Attack of Choice)

• Wall first attack by opponent (Shuckle has the lowest speed of all Pokemon, so the first step shouldn't be that hard)

• Use Trick Room
• Use Power Trick (This will switch Shuckle's abysmal attack stat with it's high as hell defense)
• Sturdy the next attack by opponent (This is surefire but is difficult. If you Shuckle does not have Sturdy, though unreccomended, use Focus Sash)
• Stone Edge + Boost by Rock Gem = Instant Kill
• Since Trick Room is still up, continue using Stone Edge. After that, Shuckle is pretty much a sitting duck

This isn't really a technique, but it is quite a decent gimmick. Just don't use against Ground or Steel Types with high defense.

If you take a hit on the 1st turn, Sturdy will no longer activate.
Of course, it could be set up if your opponent is locked into a non-damaging move from Encore... Which means this could actually work ^_^

Note this is a double battle strategy

A pokemon with Anger Point as a ability. Take for example. Pair him up with a pokemon that can learn Frost Breath or Circle Throw. They always result in Critical Hits. Anyways the pokemon i will be using is . Have use Frost Breath on your . Watch as your primeape get Anger Point activated and you get max attack and you can even give primeape something like a Choice Scarf to make it faster. Now sweep with your massive attack.

That is totally unnecessary; you could always use Confuse Ray to match with that combo way better.
Also, the point of Swagger is that when they are confused and hit themselves, the +2 Stage Attack will deal more damage.

first off what about Pokemon who cant learn confuse ray.Secondly what about when they snap out of confusion they will have +2attack and you don't want that.Thirdly they don't always hit themselves so its still going to hurt.This is mostly for Pokemon who cant learn confuse ray

How about fling + theif. It works good with a poison heal pokemon when your using a toxic orb. You get the poison heal and you toxic a pokemon when you fling then steal their item and make it gone by flinging it.

Here is a trick I found you can use in a double/triple battle. Get a Preferably Tauros and Vigoroth, give Vigoroth focus energy and fury swipes, also maybe give it a scope lens, and after you use focus energy, use fury swipes on Tauros, Anger point will activate, And tauros will be at +6 Attack!

Ok, so start in a double battle with Shedinja and a Pokemon (Preferably Porygon2) that can has Trace.
If that Pokemon is Porygon2, It can use Conversion2 as well and then pass it to whoever.
Shedinja is used for Trace making the ability Wonder Guard. Infact, you could have any ability.

Pass it to a Pokemon with a weakness and start sweeping! I do not know if this will work on Spiritomb or Sableye.

Still, status things such as poison and burn would affect the pokemon.  Weather would also affect them as well.  Really cool, though.

Double strategy.

Have two Pokemon. Have one know Skill-swap and the other have the ability Intimidate. When sent out they will cut the opponents Attack. Then use Skill-swap and they will lower there Attack again. You can repeat this process again and again thus crippling users of Rock-slide, Earthquake Etc.

Note: This strategy can work with any pair with Intimidate and Skill-swap, Scrafty and Alakazam are not required.

Best Way to beat Josh?
In a Rain team the lead is usually Politoed so, lead with a Cofagrigus and get them to attack you thus making their ability Mummy.
Switch to an Instant weather Pokemon.

Here is a deadly combination for defending! Set a Zoroark to the first slot of your party and set a Giratina (Origin-Form) to the sixth slot of your party! In a battle against a friend, Zoroark will transform into Giratina using it's ability Illusion! Zoroark's only weakness is the Fighting-Type, but the opponent will think that Zoroark is the real Giratina!!! So if the opponent tries to use a Ghost or Dark-Type move on what they think is Giratina, it won't be very effective! Also, they know that Fighting-Type moves don't effect what they think is Giratina, so they won't use Fighting-Type moves on Zoroark! It's also a bit funny if you think about it because your tricking your friend!!!

You could also use gengar with 4x resistance to bug and fighting immunity + people wont use earthquake because of levitate EDIT: if they use psychic attacks because they think its super effective but i doesn't have an effect on Zoroark

Swagger / Confuse Ray / Flatter or anything that lowers stats.. Screech being the most useful here. Works well when combined with Pursuit.

Turn 1: 10% used Screech! - Opponent: Aww crap! I better switch out!
Turn 2: Opponent goes to switch out, but Pursuit hits for a great deal of damage.

Basically you're trying to force a switch then hit them before they leave.

If you have your defense cut in half, you can switch out into another pokemon and then defense cut is no longer there.

Same thing with confusion. If you switch out, it goes away.

Have Zapdos have the Ability Lightning-rod and Gyarados Intimidate is better IMO for this but Moxie is also great.

Now Gyarados has only 1 weakness and anytime someone tries to use an Electric move on Gyarados, Zapdos gets a boost. Also if you use Intimidate your Pokemon get great bulk with both of them already having good base S.Defense they get an effective boost to their Defense. Because of this boost it actually safe to use D-dance on Gyarados to make him fast and have an even Higher Attack.

first: You can't legitly get a zapdos with lightning rod.

second: If you switch into zapdos, you do get the boost except if you switch back to gyrados, you lose it.


overall, I just recomend giving the gyrados a battery.
