I definitely know of the Origins of the Nuzlocke Challenge and the basics, but I wish to know all types of them and how they work. I plan to do a regular Nuzlocke.

I'll just list some basic rules that I know of a regular Nuzlocke:
 - You are allowed to catch one Pokemon from each route / place / etc and swap it for the egg.
- If any of the Pokemon you have faint, then you would have to put it back in a PC Box labeled "dead" or release it.

Here are some clauses that can help or challenge you:

- Gym Leader Clause: If you get swept by a gym leader, your Pokemon are not dead and you can still use it.
- Same Pokemon Clause: If you get a same Pokemon from an egg, you'll have to release it or put it in a PC Box labeled "dead".
- Gifts Clause: You can get "gift" Pokemon and use it on your team.  It can or cannot be considered the first Pokemon encountered in the city.

Note that some of the names are just made up by me :P , but those are some of the common clauses.
Good luck on your Nuzlocke! And make sure you always stick to the rules.
^ Nicknaming your Pokémon is basically a given as well. My Platinum Nuzlocke has two Crobat named Count and Countess :D
Very clever, Astro...........I like that

The Nuzlocke Challenge is a set of rules intended to create a higher level of difficulty while playing the Pokémon games. Many challengers feel that the rules also serve the purpose of encouraging the use of Pokémon the player would not normally choose, and promoting closer bonds with the player's Pokémon. The rules are not an in-game function, but are self-imposed on the part of the player, and thus subject to variation.
The name of the challenge originates from the comic series of the same name, which features a Nuzleaf resembling Lost character John Locke as a recurring gag character. However, the Nuzlocke Comic website has been inactive, with the domain name having expired. This may change in the future if the author ever returns to producing the comic.
