Taillow is one of my favorite pokemon and I just wanted to know where to get it.

Yes, if you go to the first route between New Bark and Cherrygrove on a Wednesday and play the pokemon music channel in your poke-gear, you will get the hoenn sounds and after a while of looking, you should find a Tailow and then you can evolve it into my favorite non-legendary bird in all the games, Swellow!

That is a good point, birds are pretty important for flying, but you don't really need a bird for grass or fighting or grass if you have a good psyckick like alakazam, or Lugia.

In heart gold and soul silver you can't get taillow by hoenn sound but what you can do to get taillow proven by you-tube videos and sites is: You go to cherrygrovecity surf off to the left side where there is water then rockclimb up I and you-tube videos agree that it can be any tree up there if you hit the trees with headbutt kinda like Darth Destiny meant but actually it can be any tree. BELIEVE ME I TRIED EVERY WAY ANYONE HERE AND DIFFERENT SITES BUT THE ANSWER IS WHAT I SAY AND IT CAN BE ANY TREE.

THAT´S NOT TRUE!
Taillow can be obtained in HG/SS ONLY in Cherrygrove City, surfing onto higher place in trees (you need Rock Climb, Surf and Headbutt). Headbutt the left tree for a while, it will be there. 100%.
