Can you reset mystery gift legendaries to get the right nature?

I really want to get the upcoming shiny Xerneas event, but what would be even better is if I were to get a modest or a timid one.

Can I receive the event, pick it up from the delivery girl, check it's nature and IVs, then reset if I don't get a modest or timid one with good IVs, then when I load it up again the delivery girl is still there with a different shiny Xerneas? Or can you only ever get the same one each time?

You can reset, the nature's and IVs will change. However you can not use synchronize to get a wanted nature.
