The Pledges create field effects when combined in a Double/Triple Battle. Using Fire and Water Pledge makes it so that secondary effects have a 30% higher chance of occuring. Using Grass and Fire Pledge causes 1/8th of the opponents health in damage each turn for five turns. Using Water and Grass Pledge halves the opponents Speed for five turns. Despite the move description, the power of the moves do not increase. The effects do not warrant the use of these moves.
