PokéBase - Pokémon Q&A

So with the Poké Bank update out for Sun and Moon, I transferred all my Pokémon over and decided to have a battle with my friends. One of the Pokémon I wanted to take was my Rotom-Fan, but the game kept telling me that there was an issue with it.

Are the Rotom formes not supported in Sun and Moon just yet? The Rotom is 100% legit, bred in Alpha Sapphire. All my other Pokémon were usable.

Apologies for not responding after my test, I've been quite busy with things going on in life and genuinely forgot about this.  I received an email about your comment and here I am.

I took the Rotom-Fan over to Kukui's basement, reverted it into its standard forme, and then changed it back into Rotom-Fan.  I went to the Battle Tree to see if it would allow it, and it did.  I further tested this by switching it with my Rotom-Heat  (this was also transferred from Alpha Sapphire as Rotom-Heat, but I did not change its forme from Kukui), and it allows it as well.

I decided to test out Battle Spot and see if it would allow me to use Rotom-Fan (unfortunately no one is available for a local battle so I can test under the same circumstances).  The Battle Spot (free battle, special Pokémon allowed) allowed my Rotom-Fan to be used.  Rotom-Heat was also allowed.  The results were the same for Ranked Battle Spot.  For what I know there were no recent updates for Sun and Moon.  I can do a local Link Battle on Thursday (the 16th) so I will see what happens there.  I'll post my update later that day.
I did the further testing with Link Battles, and the result was the same with the Battle Tree and Battle Spot.  Both Rotom-Fan and Rotom-Heat were allowed to be used.  I'm thinking that there was either a hotfix that was done to the game (one that didn't require an update) that allows Rotom formes to be used, OR Sun and Moon online weren't updated to support some Poké Bank Pokémon (which I believe is not the case as I could use the anniversary Mew with no issues).
@Distorted_Pakia He provided enough information.
It has nothing to do with what form you transferred it over as cause i transferred my Rotom Mow form from Pokémon X, it didn't work at first cause it had an invalid item, I changed it to a quick claw and my Rotom Mow was able to be used in all battle formats

From what I can tell, this question has already been resolved by you in the comments. Just answering this to get it off of the unanswered list.
