According to Bulbapedia, there are 559 moves in the game. Smeargle can sketch all but struggle and chatter. He also probably wouldn't carry sketch for a battle, so I won't count that. That leaves 556 moves total for him to learn. nCr=n!/(r!(n-r)!). n=556 and r=4, making 3,939,049,415 possible combinations for a smeargle moveset.
4 billion move combinations sounds impressive but half of them would be completely useless. Splash, anyone?
True, but having that many possible combinations is still cool.
Smeargle (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Technician
EVs: 252 Def/ 252 SDef/ 4 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
 - Sketch
 - Sketch
 - Sketch
 - Sketch

Best moveset ever ;P
lol (filler)
Why does the Smeargle learnset link bring me to a YouTube video?
Because he learns every single move in the game. It's over 9000.
Not chatter

Smeargle
Any speed-raising nature

Stealth Rock-Set up some entry hazards
Spore-Put them to sleep before setting up
Toxic spikes-wear down entering targets
Sticky web-Have your slower pokes go before entering pokes

This guy is done if taunted, so watch out.

Smeargle @ Focus sash
EVs: 252 Speed, 252 HP, 4 Defense
Nature: Any that lowers attack/sp.attack

Spore
Stat boost (Agility/Recover advised)
Stat boost
Batton Pass

Spore to sleep your opponent so you can boost your stats with the stat boost moves. Spore when you predict your opponent to wake up or has woken up (if you outpace them). If your opponent hits you, activating the focus sash or they will KO you next turn, use baton pass to pass your stat boosts on. Agility is advised, as if your opponent is faster than you, they will KO you. If you are slower than your opponent, switch out so you stay safe. You can use recover to heal yourself from the damage taken while your opponent is asleep.

Smeargle@Focus Sash
Own Tempo
252 Speed 252 HP 4 Defense
Jolly/Timid
-Spore
-Sticky Web
-Stealth Rocks
-Spikes/Destiny Bond

This set really just sets up hazards onto your opponents team. Spore will give you a chance to make your opponent go to sleep and let you have a chance to set up hazards. If you don't choose to have Spikes, then go for Destiny Bond. At least your opponent will die with you lol.

Here's a super annoying smeargle that reks in 1v1

Smeargle @ Leftovers(sash is banned in 1v1)
Trait: Technician
Timid Nature
EVs: 252 HP, 252 Spe, 4 Def
Moves:
Spore
Imprison
Taunt
Transform

So here's the objective of this set: when you use Spore on your opponent, you can use Taunt(optional). Right after you Taunt your opponent make sure you use Imprison. After that use transform. Your opponent will now be struggling to take out your Smeargle

Pun Intended
