I know Arceus came first but where does Mew come in. It seems to be the Pokemon of at least all the moves that Pokemon can learn. This is a question that plauges me.

What? I don't understand...
I mean when was Mew created and what is its purpose in the Pokemon world.

Mew's entry in the DPP pokedex is this:
"Because it can use all kinds of moves, many scientists believe MEW to be the ancestor of Pokémon."
Other pokedexes say that it has the DNA of every pokemon.

Arceus' entries talk about mythology (as do Dialga and Palkia) so you could probably think of it like Mew is real, the other stories are just legends.

But you could also look at it from a religious point of view, like Arceus was the original pokemon before time existed (like God), but most other pokemon are descended from Mew (like Adam & Eve).

I don't know, I don't really pay attention to the pokemon mythologies that much! :)

I am a fan of all mythologies. Thank you for your input. I had never thought of it like that but I believe you are right.
I do not like people to compare pokemon with God I am very catholic
I agree, speed freak, and I'm baptist. Comparing God to something like Pokemon is just wrong >:(
Bringing this back up much?

Anyway, Pokemaster did not in anyway compare it, he was saying that they kind of designed it trying to make it like that.
