Hi guys,
I'm especially fond of Bug types, and my mainforce has always been Beedrill. Yup ofcoz by picking him, I use the Mega Evolution slot on him. Here is my opinion of a moveset for Mega Beedrill -- facing almost no problems til now.

Beedrill @ Beedrillite
Ability: Swarm
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- U-turn
- Fell Stinger
- Poison Jab / Throat Chop
- Drill Run / Hidden Power [Rock] / Outrage

Personally, I think Mega Beedrill should be reasonably exploited as a looming assassin, since it's too fragile to bear any attack directly. Therefore, fulfill the most necessary stats that are required for its strategy: Attack and Speed.
To suddenly loom in a battle, trigger some pain and some sorrow, and then sneak out of the battle untouched, all you need to do to make Beedrill reach the top of its game is to try to build an optimal team with members that can cover Beedrill's weaknesses/ You don't need to bother covering its Psychic weakness, as Mega Beedrill outspeeds most Psychic tpyes and they don't have any priority moves. I suppose there are non-Psychic Pokemon that can withstand one U-turn from Beedrill, but you can take advantage of Fell Stinger's +3 Attack if that happens.

[Nature:] Jolly (To comfortably outspeed most Pokemon. As you know, it's as a top 7 Pokemon with base 145 Speed. However, it is still rarely outsped by two other Megas: Mega Alakazam and Mega Aerodactyl.
[Moveset:]

  • U-turn (With Adaptability, this is gonna KO all the Pokemon weak to Bug for sure (even Mega Metagross can only withstand 2 hits at most. First hit chips the opponent down; I sacrificed one of my team and then the second U-turn finished the game. Also, this move is like an insurance -- as we all know, Beedrill's quite frail. So it's better to just deal tons of damage with its blistering Speed first then disappear, right? In-And-Out spectacularly and efficiently like an assassin, or perhaps, a real shadow ninja.)

  • Fell Stinger (This move is STAB and therefore its power is boosted to 100 -- remarkable, right? Don't forget that getting a KO with this move will bless Mega Beedrill with +3 Attack. :) Every team nowadays contains at least some Psychic, Grass, and Dark Pokemon, so the chance for you to get the Attack boost is quite reasonable if you can design the whole team to support Beedrill's opportunities with Fell Stinger. For example: I always try to design a team with solid and sturdy members to take damage off my Beedrill's U-turn, willing to be sacrificed to chip the opponents. This allows their Bug-type ally to easily access Fell Stinger's boost.)

  • Poison Jab (With STAB, its base power is 160. All Pokemon with less than 50% HP will surely get KOed by this move. Plus, these days it's so incredibly common to find those Pinky-Sassy-Naughty-Glitchy Fairy-types everywhere in competitive, don't you agree? - That's why the privilege of being Poison-type makes Beedrill superior to them. Those queenie Mega Gardevoir or Knightie Mega Gallade, from the Mythical Dakrai to the Feather-Winged Mega Absol, to even the haunting Mega Gengar, all of them will fall to this Beedrill's Poison Jab, U-turn or Throat Chop (Dark move if your rival uses Ghost-types as their main force.)

  • Drill Run / Hidden Power [Rock] / Outrage (I often choose Drill Run to hit Fire-types super effectively. But there was a time when every dude tended to use Mega Charizard X or Y as the mainstay of their team. Mega Charizard X is easy to deal with, as Beedrill can learn Outrage in Let's Go Pikachu, but Mega Charizard Y is so dang hard to cope with. Bug-type moves only deal 1/4 damage, Poison Jab cannot OHKO, and the lizard is bloody immune to Ground-type moves.)
(So, for the last move, I suggest you guys use Hidden Power [Rock] to hit Mega Charizard Y, Volcarona, and Mega Pinsir for 4x damage. However, it is just so sad that after Gen 3, Hidden Power was categorized as "Special Attack" move.)
(In this case, the last move I suggest is Outrage, a move which can OHKO even badarses like Rayquaza. Or just stick with Drill Run to handle Rock-types and Fire-types -- provided they don't have the annoying Flying typing as well. For Flying-types, just U-turn and run ^^.)

(To be honest guys, I think Game Freak treats Beedrill unfairly by leaving its movepool so barren like that. I don't know why many Bug-types can learn perfect moves -- for example, Pinsir and Scolipede can learn almost every Rock-type moves they would want. :( I truly wish Beedrill could learn Rock Slide, Stone Axe, or even Rock Tomb. I would be the happiest trainer on earth. :( With just one Rock move in the moveset, Mega Beedrill will become the unbeatable Mega form right away for sure. Beedrill deserves to get its movepool expanded, especially its Egg Moves.

Mega Moveset (Gen 6)

enter image description here----------------------->enter image description here
Beedrill-Mega @ Beedrillite
Ability: Swarm
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Fell Stinger
- Poison Jab
- Pursuit / Knock Off
- Drill Run / Roost / Knock Off / Protect

Lemme explain.
First off Beedrill has good enough speed in Mega form (base 145) allowing it to run Adamant. Fell Stinger with Adaptability is ok and with 150 base attack while battling another Pokemon weak to bug wither it down and KO with Fell Stinger giving you +2 attack and counters Psychic-types, and most have low physical defense, so this is a good choice. Pursuit can kill the opponent before they switch (very rarely).

Knock Off gets rid of those pesky Leftovers. Roost has no point although if the opportunity is given at the right time, you can heal off some damage. Drill Run covers Rock types and Fire types. Protect because on the first turn of mega evolving, speed does not come into effect so it's likely to get outsped by something. Poison Jab has a nice 30% chance of poisoning the target and boosted to 160 BP by adaptability.

Hope this set brings victory to many! :D

I think you should first baton a swords dance on it and fell stringer and poison jab well you should put pin missle to remove sturdy and drill run for primal groudon and other ground and fire types and don’t worry for ground ghost nvm your probaly gotta fell stinger well it nearly oh-ko’s Any Pokemon with its 140 base speed and 150 base attack with that adaptability and STAB so your pretty  much safe
This is an AWESOME moveset, especially with fell stinger. Mega beedrill is a great pokemon for fell stinger, because of Adaptability. I have a problem with it though. Since fell stinger isn't very powerful STAB I would put X-scissor in the third slot.
doesn't this thing pretty much need u-turn?

Gen 6

Beedrill @ Beedrillite
Ability: Swarm
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD /252 Spe
Adamant / Jolly Nature
- Protect
- U-turn
- Poison Jab
- Drill Run / Knock Off

Protect should be used first time to safely activate the Mega evolution as the speed doesn't kick in first turn.
U-turn is a great STAB move boosted by Adaptability and is useful for scouting and keeping momentum.
Poison Jab is another STAB moved also boosted by Adaptability. Destroys any Fairy types apart from those immune or neutrally hit by it.
Drill Run is an option to hit Steel, Rock, Fire and Electric types hard. Knock Off is the other option that hurts Ghost types which otherwise wall this set hard and also removes items.

Adamant for power, Jolly to outspeed.

Mega Evolution activates at the start of the turn, rendering Protect useless. It DOES get the speed increase immediately.
Keep in mind this was pre-gen 7 and mega evolved Pokemon didn't get their new speed stat until the next turn. But protect still isn't bad.

Kakuna (M) @ Eviolite
Ability: Shed Skin
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Iron Defense / Harden
- Bug Bite
- String Shot
- Poison Sting

The counter-part of the all mighty Lord Metapod. Lord Kakuna and Lord Metapod used to be one. The one called and feared by Pokemon trainers all around the globe LORD HARDEN. But soon the evil and good separated into Lord Kakuna, the lord of the Poison Sting, and Lord Metapod, the lord of Tackle but they both share one thing in common... HARDEN. Now with the moveset the only thing you need to do is to get one Iron Defense up or two Harden and String Shot to be annoying. Bug Bite to steal their berries and Poison Sting to also be annoying. Seriously I cant believe you guys forgot this beast.

This is a pretty good idea, but kakuna has like no base stats

Base stat total 205
This is a joke set lol

Gen III

Beedrill (F) @ Lum Berry
Ability: Swarm
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Sludge Bomb
- Twineedle
- Brick Break

  • Swords Dance
  • Sludge Bomb - Physical
  • Twineedle - Physical
  • Brick Break - Physical

Sweeper, Nough said.

Swords Dance increases Attack, and then Sludge Bomb and Twineedle give STAB and Brick Break gives Coverage.

sludge bomb is special :P
Nope, this is Gen III
Wtf? sludge bomb is a mental/special attack not physical.
In gen III poison type moves were physical
Yeah Kool. OMG Josh Kool is an old user lol

OK Beedrill is known as a tragic case of a bug sweeper who never really tried, which is sad since I quite like him on the field of NU. I will go through some things to show off Beedrill in any way I can. hope you enjoy.

Summary; a classic NU bug sweeper that has been around for ages....and still fails to do much, it's really not fit for major battles. Although it seems to become ever so slightly more effective it is still shadowed by most of the NU tier....and most Pokemon otherwise. It's not all bad news, but it still shouldn't be used without a genuine purpose

Pros: although its stats are pretty poor, its attack power isn't too bad and its movepool is actually rather decent.

Cons: poor typing, low stats, loads of counters, KO'ed in a heartbeat, I could go on and on. but I'm not going to, because I'm supposed to be trying to help Beedrills chances.... that's going well...

I created a few movesets to maximize its chances and give you some choice in the matter.

Beedrill @ Life Orb
Ability: Sniper
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Drill Run
- Poison Jab
- X-Scissor / U-turn
- Brick Break / Endeavor

This set is basically a baton pass receiver. Ninjask remains in NU, so if you can this set is made to take advantage of him. Drill run makes sure it's not completely defenseless against fire types. And a mix of other moves will provide a good battle coverage. So, it could be worse.

Beedrill @ Focus Sash
Ability: Swarm
EVs: 208 HP / 150 Atk / 150 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Agility / Swords Dance
- Poison Jab / Toxic Spikes / Toxic
- X-Scissor
- Brick Break/Drill Run

OK so this takes advantage of the fact that it can no longer be KOed instantly. It's your choice out of Agility or Swords Dance. Its EV's look odd but it does help with it trying to last a while.

Beedrill @ Black Sludge
Ability: Swarm
EVs: 208 HP / 70 Atk / 80 SpD / 150 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Toxic Spikes / Toxic
- U-turn / Protect
- Endeavor / Drill run
- Brick Break

This may look odd, but Beedrill is very opportunistic is the right situations. Toxic spikes will make your opponent less willing to switch into something more dangerous, while Toxic +Black Sludge + Protect is pretty good too. The rest is just to make sure it's not countered or walled too easily.

Right that's it. My analysis on Beedrill is complete. I hope this may have helped in deciding if Beedrill is worth it. Hope you like!

Not worth using in any situations.
What about in a mono-Beedrill battle?
;_; Seriously?
Now your just being mean...if you don't like it that's your opinion. I don't do this for points, I do it to try to be helpful. if you don't think it is that's your problem, not mine. Criticism is fine, just tell me what's wrong instead of complaining OK? I know I'm not that good at but that's why I'm doing them, so I don't dissapoint in the future. Sorry for the long comment
The first set is baws :D
Anywayz, not a fan of Beedrill but...Beedrill FTW :D
I wasn't talking about your sets, I was talking about Beedrill, dammit. Learn how to read. Also, it's outclassed by any Pokemon in NU, which means that it's not worth using.

This Mega set is recommended to set up only under Special Attackers.

Now let's get started! :D

Beedrill-Mega @ Beedrillite
Ability: Swarm
EVs: 156 Atk / 152 SpD / 200 Spe
Jolly / Careful Nature
- Swords Dance
- Poison Jab
- X-Scissor
- Knock Off

Alright lemme explain.
Who says Mega Beedrill can't tank for ****? Well, they're wrong.
This set allows it to tank a little bit if the right opportunity is given to it such as being sent out against a Special Arcanine set and such. This may not give optimal coverage, but hey, when you have a +2 attack Beedrill who cares about anything in your way! Right? :D
Anyways, back on topic.
Poison Jab is good STAB.
X-Scissor is more standard STAB.
Swords Dance is the whole point of this set.
Knock off is another move in there.
Here's a damage calc:
>0 SpA Heatran Lava Plume vs. 0 HP / 156 SpD Beedrill: 218-258 (80.4 - 95.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Hope this set brings victory to many! :D

Revenge Killer

Beedrill @ Beedrillite
Ability: Swarm
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Fell Stinger
- Protect / Drill Run
- Poison Jab
- Knock Off

  • Fell Stinger; Possibly one of the greatest revenge killing moves
  • Protect / Drill Run; Safe boost for speed / Rock and Fire coverage
  • Poison Jab; Is there a Mega Beedrill without this move?
  • Knock Off; ^

For Gen 7 and up Protect won't be needed as much due to Speed kicking in as soon as Beedrill has Mega Evolved

Role: Lead

Beedrill
Beedrill (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Swarm
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Toxic Spikes
- U-turn
- Tailwind
- Poison Jab

Faster than the more bulkish leads, although not faster than most sweepers.

His main role is to set up the ever so annoying Toxic Spikes.

And if he is somehow still alive after 2 Toxic Spikes set up Tailwind, and then U-turn his butt out of there.

Poison Jab added for a little bit of extra STAB in there.

Double/Triple Battle

Beedrill (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Swarm
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Acrobatics
- Endeavor / Poison Jab
- U-turn
- Tailwind

I'm surprised that I have taken a liking to Beedrill, Single and Multi. This set is riskier in Multi Battle, as Focus Sash can easily be taken down if two opponents choose to attack you. However, Beedrill's weakness makes it unlikely that they'll do so, being so unafraid of it. That is their downfall. You set up Tailwind, and now you have high Speed, and a decent attack boosted by Swarm and a nice Acrobatics boost. Acrobatics works great, being coverage with high power and being able to hit any foe in a Triple Battle. Endeavor can be used quite well, lowering a bulky foe down to 1 HP to be taken down by another teammate. Or you can use Poison Jab for STAB. U-Turn gets you a nice powerful hit thanks to STAB and Swarm. You get your weak Beedrill out of there, doing a nice chunk of damage in the process. This set has one advantage from being in a multi-battle that it wouldn't have in a single battle, and that is that priority is not as big a problem, as you can team Beedrill up with a Quick Guard user.

Beedrill (M) @ Liechi Berry
Ability: Swarm
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- X-Scissor
- Substitute
- Acrobatics
- Poison Jab

If you have a teammate with Tailwind, that's useful.
Sub down to your Liechi Berry then hit what you can with Acrobatics and dual STAB.

CritDrill anyone?

1

Beedrill @ Scope Lens
Ability: Sniper
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Focus Energy
- Knock Off
- X-Scissor
- Poison Jab / Drill Run

Beedrill is the only other Pokemon that can run a full time critical hit set with Sniper (outside of Kingdra). After one Focus Energy, this bug crits every single time, which is a necessary boost for it.
X-Scissor is for reliable STAB, and Knock Off because it's Knock Off.
The choice between Poison Jab and Drill run depends on team perspective. If you want a good coverage in general, Drill Run is the better move. If you want secondary STAB and you want those fairies eliminated, you go for Poison Jab.

I find that, especially in UU tiers for smogon, Beedrill is an excellent in-and-out Pokemon. I usually switch into it from something like Persian or Ambipom. Here is my set that I like to put on it.

Beedrill-Mega @ Beedrillite
Ability: Swarm
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Poison Jab
- U-turn
- Drill Run
- Protect

Beedrill was never bulky, and never will be. You always need to make sure that whatever beedrill uses will K.O it, or that it's faster than its opponent.

Beedrill (M) @ Beedrillite
Ability: Swarm
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Protect
- X-Scissor
- Poison Jab
- Drill Run

  • Protect- So you can Mega Evolve without taking damage
  • X-Scissor- Stronger Bug move since every Bug move is useless
  • Poison Jab- To have a chance to take down Fairy types and have a chance to poison.
  • Drill Run- Take damage to Steel and Fire

Sweeper Mega Moveset

Beedrill @ Beedrillite
Ability: Swarm
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Poison Jab
- X-Scissor
- Fell Stinger / Knock Off

Swords Dance (if it hangs on a single hit, it will completely sweep the target after it. Swords Dance once, then sweep the target with Adaptability Swords Danced Poison Jab/X-Scissor)

Poison Jab (physical 80 base power Adaptability STAB move which can also poison, how could I say NO to this)

X-Scissor (same as Poison Jab but Bug-type without the poison, but still a great move for sweeping)

Fell Stinger/Knock Off (Fell Stinger if you see your opponent is almost fainting, you will be sure to kill it with Adaptability STAB Fell Stinger, but this will make you stuck against Steel types, which usually have great physical defenses. You can also use Knock Off since the most common steel type is Metagross ((therefore it takes neutral damage from Fell Stinger/X-Scissor :3)) or to take away the target's item. I would still go with Fell Stinger).
