Hmm... seems like the perfect moveset fo a pidgeot( I was thinking of Fly instead of Air Slash...but I decided they were pretty much even(fly has 90 damage and 95 accuracy and protects you for 1 turn then attacks....Air Slash sometimes flinches and you can attack constantly without skipping turns))

Pidgeot (M) @ Life Orb

Role: Rain Sweeper

Trait: Keen Eye

EVs: 100 Atk / 156 SAtk / 252 Spd

Mild Nature (+SAtk, -Def)

  • Hurricane
  • Work Up
  • Hidden Power [Water]
  • Double-Edge

Hurricane gives you beastly STAB, and a good confusion Chance, Work up increases Attack and Sp Attack, which works.
HP Water gets a power boost in the rain, and Double Edge hits for hard STAB, Making him Suicide with Life orb.

I like your choices, aerial ace is a good move though.

Thats Good, But Maybe Replace Air Slash, With Aerial Ace, Unless Your Pidgeot has Higher Sp Attack, or They Are About Equal.

Sweeper: Steel Wing(covers 2 of Pidgeots' weaknesses), Fly(needed for getting around, pretty strong, STAB, or if you don't like fly, Aerial Ace or Air Slash), Return(Excellent power with max happiness, STAB), and Double Team/Featherdance(for some defenses).

Right Of My Site:)

Gen V

Pidgeot (M) @ Life Orb

Trait: Tangled Feet

EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Spd

Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)

  • Brave Bird
  • Tailwind
  • U-turn
  • Quick Attack

Okay, mainly team support/scouting. Brave Bird is just there because you don't really have anything else in terms of support, so it's just there in case you need to attack. U-Turn allows you to scout out the situation. Quick Attack allows for revenge killing. All these moves use Life Orb to actually do something. Tailwind gives the rest of your team some Speed to use, which can be pretty helpful. Tangled Feet isn't really useful, but it is better than the other abilities it gets.

Gen III

Pidgeot (M) @ Choice Band

Ability: Keen Eye

EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd

Naive (+Spd, -SDef)

  • Mud-Slap - Physical
  • Aerial Ace - Physical
  • Frustration - Physical
  • Faint Attack - Special

Choice Band! The only Gen III Choice Item!

Mud Slap being Physical in Gen III can be annoying with a bander, because you'll actually do damage to your opponent, and be lowering their Accuracy!
Ariel Ace can be replaced with Wing Attack due to Pidgeot having Keen Eye, so yeah.
Frustration is super powered, a great sub is return if this isn't PO.
Faint Attack will take out the Powerhouses Alakazam and Gengar ( Ugh... ) Which are both total monsters in the Gen III Meta Game.

Double/Triple Battle

Pidgeot (M) @ Life Orb

Trait: Tangled Feet
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Tailwind
- Heat Wave
- Air Slash
- Round

Pidgeot sucks. Yeah, it's just awful.
Tailwind provides you with team support. That way Pidgeot can die knowing it helped better Pokemon do something. Heat Wave is a great move in multi-battles, hitting multiple Pokemon. However, having only 262 Sp Attack puts a damper on that, but hey, Life Orb helps out there. Air Slash is STAB and in Triple Battles can hit any foe. Round is just a multi-battle move. If you team Pidgeot up with other Round users, you can do some damage.

Doubles / Triples

Pidgeot (M) @ Heat Rock
Trait: Tangled Feet
EVs: 252 HP / 128 Def / 38 SAtk / 92 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Heat Wave
- Sunny Day
- Roost
- Tailwind

Heat Wave hits two spaces and might actually do something after he....
Sets up sun! 8 turn sun is nice is doubles.
Roost recovers, Tailwind supports.

BIRDY! Who didn't name their Pidgey birdy? Everyone names their Pidgey birdy!
Well... that's a bit off... But it's still a cheesy yet completely needed name!

Battle toa- erm.. Pidgeon! @ Sharp Beak
Ability: Tangled Feet / Big pecks
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 4 HP / 252 ATK / 252 SPD

Substitute - Hide behind your sub.. you know you want to..

Brave Bird - Insanely hard hitting STAB! He's in a lower tier than Staraptor, so he's actually good at the suicide gimmick.

Return - STAB. That's... it. Great use for when you know BB will take you down.

U-Turn - Coverage and scouting.

Nature: Jolly
Ability - Big Peaks
252 EV Speed, 252 EV Attack, 4 EV HP
Item - Expert Belt

Return - STAB, Good power and reliable, no recoil damage and can use it instead of Fly when burned or poisoned.
Fly - STAB, Good power, can hit any foe in Triple Battles, good accuracy and gets to avoid an attack for one turn.
Steel Wing - Coverage against Ice and Rock weaknesses, decent power and accuracy.
Roost - Since Pidgeot is kind of bulky, it can restore good HP and take more hits.

I hope it works.

This is my Pidgeot, hope you guys like it!

Nature: Adamant
IVs: Speed

Brave Bird: For me, this is hell yeah! Because high damage and nice accuracy, I know you guys hate Pidgeot recoil, so let's see the next move!
Roost: Heal the weak Pidgeot nicely, also can heal the recoil damage.
Steel Wing: This move can cover two weakness and got chance to rose defense.
Aerial Ace: Oh yeah, this can no miss at all!

Item: Muscle Band/King's Rock
