Persian is built like the common RPG Rogue: Fast, but weak in all other aspects. Take advantage of Persian's Speed to get the most out of your kitty cat.

Like Speed said, replace Facade. Facade doubles in power if the user is paralyzed, poisoned, or burned, but Persian has the ability Limber, which hinders Facade's performance. Replace it with Return or Slash.

Aerial Ace is great!

Replace Dark Pulse with Night Slash.

Replace Power Gem with Iron Tail.

Sorry for the quick run-through, but I was in a hurry. :P

EDIT: Most of my post agrees with Speed Freak, so I wrote mine because I feel that Speed doesn't deserve a -1 vote. Think of it as moral support, haha.

Yeah, but you explained about Slash, which I didn't want because I already got in Night Slash. However, Return is a much better option, as is Iron Tail. Speed doesn't deserve a -1, so I'll undo my vote and vote him up.

Yes but I would suggest ev training its attack and speed. Then

switch darkpulse with nightslash becuase of superior attack. And

maybe facade for slash.

Ability: Technician

Faint Attack (90 base power dark attack that doesnt miss)

Aerial Ace (90 base power flying attack that doesnt miss)

And two fillers (Facade or Return, Iron Tail or anything similar)

Gen V

Persian (M) @ Life Orb

Trait: Technician

EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd

Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)

  • Taunt
  • Bite
  • Aerial Ace
  • Fake Out

A great lead, especially in NU. Start with Technician+STAB+Life Orb boosted Fake Out, a neutral hit can usually halve the health of the opponent. Taunt prevents Entry Hazard setting, or any other non-attacking move your opponent might use. Aerial Ace and Bite get boosted by Technician. Standard sweeper EVs.

Double/Triple battle

Persian (M) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Technician
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Water Pulse
- Round
- Icy Wind
- Switcheroo

Persian runs completely different in multi-battles. While it has a poor Special Attack stat, Technician and Specs helps make up for that. Water Pulse gets that Technician boost and can hit any foe in a Triple battle. Round gets STAB, Technician boosted, and gets more powerful if you have other Pokemon using it. This can make Round very powerful indeed. Icy Wind gets boosted by Technician and hits multiple foes, lowering their Speed. Switcheroo is for if you get tired of Specs or want to cripple something.

Read fully before downvoting!

Now, for the set!
enter image description here
Persian @ Focus Sash
Ability: Technician
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spd/4 Hp
-Fake Out
-Hone Claws
-Aerial Ace
-Feint Attack

Alright lemme explain. I was thinking of suggesting Scratch which is OK with Technician which will get it boosted to 90. but then, doesn't 2 Normal-type moves seem reluctant? So I thought of this set! In PU and NU, this set will function fairly well, So Fake Out is to break those Sashes and gets a boost to 90! Then use Hone Claws, and proceed to attack. Aerial Ace and Feint Attack are both boosted to 90 BP with Technician. Aerial Ace also covers its only weakness: Fighting. Feint Attack over Knock Off because no more Technician boost! :'( Other than that though, this set works out good.

Hope this set brings victory to many!

Persian (M) @ Bug Gem

Role: Annoying Piece of Crap

Trait: Technician

EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd

Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)

  • Aerial Ace
  • Fake Out
  • Faint Attack
  • U-turn

Well, here's the layout.

Start with STAB Fake-out with Technician Boost can pack quite a punch.

Then Continue to Sweep With Ariel Ace and Faint Attack, Or Go home with U-turn.

Bug Gem giving U-turn a boost like the technician moves.

Persian (M) @ Choice Band

Ability: Limber

EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd

Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)

  • Shadow Ball
  • Body Slam
  • Mud-Slap
  • Iron Tail

Shadow Ball Covers the Ghosties mainly, but does a number on Psychics as well, and with Alakazam being a major threat, that's nice to have.

Body Slam is STAB with the Para-Chance, which makes it more worth while than Frustration or Return.

Mud Slap is generally a pain to fight agaisn't with Choice Band, making it do damage, with the speed to go first and use it several times, it hurts a decent amount, while lowering accuracy has a high chance.

Iron Tail is for high powered coverage, I would have different choices for this slot, but Persian doesn't have anything better in his movepool.

Persian - The Wall/Fast Physical Sweeper/Fast Special Sweeper

Well. Persian is a wall, fast physical sweeper and a fast special sweeper. Some people may say it's useless or it's weak. But, if you could control it, it'll work out. These wall/sweeper movesets will or may work out. ^^

Persian - The Wall @ Leftovers w/ Technician: Impish/Calm

  • Protect: It's pretty obvious. Protect is like a wall.

  • Tickle: It works... if you could use it correctly.

  • Toxic: Awesome.

  • Taunt: ...

Persian - Fast Physical Sweeper @ Leftovers/Life Orb w/ Technician: Adamant/Jolly

  • Fake Out: Works really well with STAB, Life Orb and Technician.

  • Tickle/Screech: Both lowers defense, but, Tickle lowers attack. And Screech lowers defense very well. So if you're a defense remover, use Screech. If you're a defense mixer remover (using my phrases), use Tickle.

  • Aerial Ace: Removes those nasty fighting-type Pokemon. A big advantage of fighting. :l Very useful.

Last but not least... dramatic music....

  • Hone Claws: Since this Persian is a "fast physical sweeper", this is REALLY useful... if you like increasing stats on physical. This is useful because it powers the power of physical attacks, a lot, just to say and the accuracy makes it accurate if you 3+ it.

Persian - The Fast Special Sweeper @ Life Orb/Choice Specs w/ Limber: Modest

  • Swift: STAB. Awesome with ignoring accuracy. Choice Specs makes it better. :o

  • Nasty Plot: Helps with the special moves. This is useful because this Persian is a "fact special sweeper", which means it awesome.

  • Hypnosis: It's good with Dream Eater. Protection from Spore spammers.

  • Dream Eater: Awesome combo with Hypnosis. Protection from fighting and when you're affected by Life Orb's power, use this to make it awesome. c:

Abilities coming through. Beep beep beep. Coming through!

Limber: Limber will protect it from electric gym leaders... like Elesa, Volkner, etc.

Technician: Technician will help from moves that have the base power "60 or down". (E.G: Swift, Pay Day.)

I know Persian isn't a specialized-kind Pokemon, but, it may help with Technician. It's special moves are 60 in leveling. But, the TM moves are awesome. Use some protection moves like Psychic moves. E.G: Dream Eater + Hypnosis. Persian is an awesome physical attacker. It has alot of physical attacks. Technician isn't the most useful ability for it, but, if you use specific moves that are 60 or down, could be helpful. (E.G: Fake Out, Scratch, Feint, etc.) Persian is a good wall, actually. Some of my Pokemon friends say it was a bad one. But, I tested it and it was actually excellent. My Persian in wi-fi battles was the lead, actually. Taunt helped out alot. Toxic worked out well. Tickle... helped, actually... and Protect was the star. ^.^ ~ Hope this helps. ~ JosephA

Evs: 252 SP ATK/252 SPEED/4 HP
-Nasty Plot (Persian's Sp Atk is doubled outclassing almost every opponent)
-Swift (Hits all opponents with with x4+ damage by Nasty Plot, STAB, Technician and Silk Scarf)!

Persian (F) @ Wide Lens
Trait: Limber
Timid Nature
EVs: 252 Special Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP

Puts your enemy to sleep, with the Wide Lens it has more accuracy (only 10%, but still)
Nasty Plot
Sharply increases Special Attack
Dark Pulse
Boosted by Nasty Plot makes this a deadly move
Dream Eater
When your enemy is sleeping you can heal yourself and do a great amount of damage

If you think Last Resort is a bad move, try this:

Ability: Technician
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 Attack, 252 Speed

-Fake Out (On 1st Turn, STAB, 100% Flinch)
-Toxic (Bad Poison)
-Protect (Stalling)
-Last Resort (Powerful STAB)

So, after using this set, Last Resort still probably isn't the best move. But it's always fun to watch something get smacked by it!

I absolutely love this set

Persian @Life Orb
Trait: Technician
Timid Nature
EVs: 4 Hp, 252 SpA, 252 Spe
-Nasty Plot
-Shock Wave
-Water Pulse/Icy Wind

When your opponent sees Persian, they will think that you'll go for Fake Out, so they'll switch into their Wall/Tank/Ghost type. But that's when you use Nasty Plot. After that, you pretty much have won the game(unless your opponent has priority such as Mach Punch)

Not many people know this but Persian as a Pokemon lands critical hits more often than other Pokemon. That is why I picked this moveset. Also you should Ev train its attack and speed.
Like this

Evs 4 Hp/252 Atk/252 spd

Nature- Adamant- Boost Attack

Held Item- Razor Claw- Boost critical hit ratio

Ability- Limber- Protects it from Paralysis

Hone Claws- Boost attack stat

Slash- STAB plus a critical hit almost every time and does physical damage

Shadow Claw- Critical hit almost every time plus physical damage

Night Slash- Critical hit almost every time plus physical damage

All these different high critical hit ratio moves also boosted with hone claws and the critical hit boost from Persian and the razor claw. Not to mention that since each is a different type this moveset covers almost every type. See all these moves besides Hone claws have a high critical hit ratio by themselves. Not to mention Persian boosting it and razor claw. Add that with hone claws upping its damage and the trained up attack means massive damage. With speed as high as this too you can move first most of the time.
