I know that there was an Arceus event at Toys'R'Us but I couldn't make it. Wil there be another oppurtunity? Also any news about Deoxys will be appreciated.

Lately, the hype of Pokemon Black & White has completely overshadowed Wi-Fi events. (With the exception of the, as of recent, Jirachi event.)

There is no sign of another Arceus Event, but with the inclusion of Meteorites in Heartgold & Soulsilver, a Deoxys event may be possible!

In September 2010, a poll began on the official website to decide upon the next Pokémon to give away through the Dream World. The winner of this poll was the legendary Pokémon Arceus. It is the first of the Pokémon given away over the Dream World not to have a special ability. Unlike the rest, it is at Level 100.
Another poll ran for the international games where Arceus also won. Its distribution runs through February 2012

Jp. Release: November 5th 2010 to January 31st 2011
International Release: February 1st 2012 to February 29th 2012

There might not be an Arceus event . Another way to get it is to use cheats and you blow the Azure Flute at Spear Pillar Or trade.
