I think that better is:

  • Dark Pulse (Screw you, Ghosts and Psychics)
  • Aura Sphere (STAB, screw you, Accuracy, Normals, Steels, Rocks, Ices and Darks)
  • Dragon Pulse (Screw you, Dragons)
  • ExtremeSpeed (priority)

EDIT:
Now, instead of ExtremeSpeed, I´m using:

  • Psychic (Screw you, Fightings and Poisons)

OR

  • Flash Cannon (STAB, screw you, Rocks
    and Ices)

Did you know that Lucario is not actually weak to Psyhic, Flying and Ghost types? It is only weak to Fire, Fighting and Ground.

He's using Dark Pulse for coverage, not necessarily for fighting off weaknesses.  Psychics and Ghosts are somewhat common, so it's still a good move.

Also, he answered this a year ago...  XD
What's with all the "screw you"?
SuperGengar - slang for "super-effective against", just like STAB (Same type attack bonus)
No im pretty sure it meens basiclly f*** you well thats what it meens in england hes just stating that they have no chance
Ya, this moveset is best
I use same moveset too

Probably the best moveset would be:

aura sphere, it is the perfect fighting type special move never miss

90 power.

psychic, type coverage 100 accuracy 90 power.

dragon pulse, 100 accuracy 90 power.

extreem speed, best hit first move kills alakazam 100 accuracy 80

power.

Physical set nature Jolly evs 252attack 252 speed 4hp

Close combat(STAB)

Swords dance(Boost attack)

Extreem speed(Makes up for average speed)

E-quake/Stone edge(Coverage)

Lucario (M) @ Air Balloon

description description

Trait: Inner Focus

EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd

Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)

  • Swords Dance
  • Hi Jump Kick
  • Shadow Claw
  • Ice Punch

This is my physical Lucario, ( I'll post special in a minute ).

Jolly + 252 Spd lets him out speed what he needs to, tons of threats.
Air Balloon won't be broken by S-rocks, and will let him by pass his Earthquake weakness... for a turn. In that turn, you can set up Swords dance.

Jolly will carry you speed wise for a while, if someone switches out from something like a choiced Earthquaker, or something that just generally isn't as good.

Hi Jump Kick is his most powerful possible STAB attack, Close Combat can be used too, but I use Hi Jump kick for the extra power, and to lure foes into my....

Shadow Claw. Ghost + Fighting + Ice won't be not very effective or not effective at all on any pokemon. Shadow Claw is primarily there for the ghosts that will come out after you use Hi Jump Kick, or possibly be switched into to screw you up ( - 50% ).

Ice Punch is for dragons and ground types, you can hit them pretty darn hard.

Possible Subs:

Hi Jump Kick could be subbed out for Close Combat.
Swords Dance or Ice Punch could be subbed for Extreme Speed or Bullet Punch, but I really don't reccomend doing that, this set runs without priority mainly.

How about Crunch over Shadow Claw? Crunch hits only one less Pokemon for a Super-effective hit, and with 10 more base power and a better secondary effect, Crunch is better than Shadow Claw. Also, I'd say Steadfast is better than Inner Focus.
A. I just like the Crit rate, Crunch is always an option.
B. I'd rather just not flinch and move on sometimes, because they still get their free damage, and I just get a speed boost the other way around. Instead it's more like they wasted a turn.
Either way, they're both viable options.
Did you guys know that Lucario is not actually weak to Psyhic, Flying and Ghost types? It is only weak to Fire, Fighting and Ground.

Nature: Modest
Ev's 252 Sp atk 128 def 128 sp def
Role: Sweeper

Nasty Plot ( I love this move, and when using small EV's in defenses, he can easily set it up )

Vacuum Wave ( Priority and Main sweeping move, Nasty plot makes power very useable )

Dark Pulse ( For the Psychics than come into question )

Dragon Pulse ( Coverage )

Item: Wise Glasses or Leftovers

Point In Battle:

A little bit more of defensive bulk, gives him enough time to set up a nasty plot or two, Then he can priority sweep with Vacuum Wave, having few threats, And having good coverage agaisn't threats that may approach him.

Lucario (M) @Focus Sash

description

Trait: Inner Focus
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)

  • Swords Dance (BOOST!)
  • Extremespeed (DIE DIE DIE DIE!)
  • Close Combat (STAB)
  • Earthquake/Stone edge (coverage)

Heres a little arceus wannabe. Swords dance is to boost and guarantees one with the sash, then sweep everything with E-speed. Substitute earthquake with stone edge if you're afraid to get walled out by ghosts with levitate. Close combat is nice STAB if E-speed won't be of any use. Jolly is for extra speed.

Hello Gengar.
Thats why I said you can use S-edge for E-quake
Gar still outspeeds and can Sub before Disabling it.
I would give life orb instead since lucario has bulk

Why Mind plate when you have no psychic move?
@Pwnyta: Good Point! (Back to me) How about Shadow Ball (OR Keep Dark Pulse), Psychic, and Nasty Plot instead, as (Read mblinginballer's suggestion on why Flash Cannon should be removed) It needs the boost, so give it Nasty Plot or Calm Mind, and Xtremespeed is NEGATIVELY affected by that modest nature.

This guy is one of my favorite Pokemon. He has a great move pool, great stats, and is very versatile.

Physical Lucario
Ability: Justified
Nature: Jolly (+Spe, -SpA)
EVs: 252 Atk, 252 Spe, 4 HP
Item: Wide Lens
- Hi Jump Kick- Lucario's most powerful physical fighting move
- Ice Punch- coverage
- Hone Claws- boost your attack and accuracy
- Stone Edge- high power coverage

Special Lucario
Ability: Steadfast
Nature: Timid (+Spe, -Atk)
EVs: 252 SpA, 252 Spe, 4 HP
Item: Wise Glasses
- Aura Sphere- Lucario's most powerful special fighting move
- Shadow Ball/Dark Pulse/HP Ice- more coverage
- Nasty Plot- boost your special attack
- Dragon Pulse/Psychic- coverage

Suggestion for physical: Nice strategy with the Wide Lens, but HJK covers both the types Iron Tail covers, and HJK gets STAB AND a higher base power anyway. So lose the Iron Tail for Blaze Kick or something like that for more coverage. Same with Flash Cannon for the special one, go with Shadow Ball, or Dark Pulse for flinching. Can't believe I haven't answered this Q myself.
thanks for your suggestion I'll definitely put those moves in my moveset
And BTW, Nasty Plot doesn't raise accuracy. Only Hone Claws does that kind of thing. Be careful when you cut+paste stuff like that, as I'm pretty sure you did.
I just made the changes. Thanks to both of you for spotting my mistakes and making your suggestions.
Same person Lol

People tend to affiliate lukario as a physical attacker so here is an easy way to fix it.
Lucario@ Life Orb
Trait: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 SpA/252 Spd/ 4 Hp
Moves:
Aura Sphere
Hidden power(Ice)
Vacuum Wave
Dark Pusle/Nasty Plot

Hope this helps ^^

A nature could help.

In my opinion I think this is a great Lucario moveset that's easy to get!

Lucario (M) Item: Black Belt
Ability: Steadfast
Nature: Jolly

Moves:
Aura Sphere (STAB,never miss)
Metal Claw (STAB,raises attack sometimes)
Drain Punch (STAB,regains HP)
Dark Pulse(covers psychic and ghost types with ease)

EVs? Any EVs in there?
Wow. Someone who puts natures AND ability/trait but forgot the EVs. Jolly would be Absolutely TERRIBLE on a mixed set, how about Naive or Hasty/Neutral. 3 STAB moves, really? Wow...
Definitely use BP over Metal Claw if going for Steel STAB at all. Steel type sucks in comparison to Fighting.
Did you guys know that Lucario is not actually weak to Psyhic and Ghost types? It is only weak to Fire, Fighting and Ground.

Lucario

I have read some comments and people like it if Lucario has Dark Pulse and Stone Edge for type coverage against Psyhic and Flying Pokemon. I admit it, they are pretty good moves, but believe it or not, Lucario is not weak to those two types. I know this because I researched it. The only types it is weak to is Fire, Fighting and Ground. Unfortunately, it doesn't learn ANY Flying and Water type moves, except for Rain Dance. So here is a moveset, that would bee pretty cool because it defends itself from types it is ACTUALLY weak to.

Psyhic against Fighting types.
Stone Edge against Fire types.
Aura Sphere as everyone else said, Fighting moves usually do pretty good against Ground types.
Close Combat, or some strong Steel type move your choice.

http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Lucario

NOW
Replace Psyhic with Shadow Ball,Close Combat for Flash Cannon, and Stone Edge with Earthquake.

If Lucario is weak against the opponent you would generally not fight, you would just switch.
the first thing I notice is:
2 physical moves
2 special moves

LUCARIO, my favorite pokemon, lots of Fighting type maneuvers are used against him however so it's best to prepare him for it. Only thing I couldn't prepare for with him is against Ground types.

Close Combat- STAB, best to give him a PP Max on this maneuver to raise PP.
Psychic Best to use to cover the fighting type pokemon that fight Lucario
Earthquake - Great for coverage against fire types
Dark Pulse - Great for fighting Psychic and Ghosts

Lucario (M) Estimated IV: 17 (just guessing here, as he just passed level 50)
Item: Leftovers

Moves:
Aura Sphere
Earthquake
Dragon Pulse
Dark Pulse

As he has nice speed and Attack/ Sp. Attack stats, aiming for powerfull 1-hit KO's which use type advantage.
