What moves would land before Protect/Detect?

Any moves with higher priority than detect/protect (which have priority a value of 3+) can outspeed protect. The only moves that have a greater or equal priority include:

+7 Pursuit(only while switching)

+6 Switching out, rotating, using items, escaping

+5 Helping Hand

+4 Magic Coat, Snatch

+3 Detect, Endure, Follow Me, Protect, Fake Out (only once), Quick Guard, Rage Powder, Wide Guard

None of the moves that have higher priority can actually damage you though, so it won't do anything to you anyway. (pursuit only works with priority when switching, so if you're using protect, it won't get the priority.) The move feint, while not able to outspeed it, is able to break through it, though this is not a very common move due to how situational it is.

Feint is the only move that would land before detect and protect if you were using them, Although when switching out, pursuit has a higher priority, also you can switch before your opponent uses one of these moves.
