Ditto is easy enough to beat. If you've set up a Substitute beforehand, Ditto can't Transform. Ditto is mainly going to be Scarfed, as such, it will only have five turns before it starts to Struggle. Here are two Pokemon I have found to be the most successful counters to Ditto, while also being powerful members on a team:

Zoroark: Thanks to Illusion, Ditto can't Transform. You can then set up a Nasty Plot while your opponent switches out, making your Zoroark even more formidable.

TorTran: Heatran set. Running Lava Plume, Substitute, Torment, and Protect. Item Leftovers, ability is Flash Fire. It easily takes down Ditto, seeing as Lava Plume is only going to strengthen your Heatran. Torment is going to cause it to Stuggle, and eventually when your opponent switches out, you'll have Substitute up and stop them from switching in as Heatran. You can easily stall out the Ditto, who doesn't have much to do seeing as a Scarfed Ditto won't want to be using status moves.

These two have time and time again beaten Ditto. Also, if you're having trouble with Ditto, just carry a move that is super-effective against your Pokemon. Ditto's low HP is its downfall.

Sawk having the ability Sturdy, can Take any hit from ditto needed, Give him a Choice Scarf,

This how you have to go about it though,

Pokemon Comes in, Beasts your opponent, Ditto comes in, Let it faint the pokemon you have in

After it faints your current pokemon, send in Sawk with Choice Scarf.

If its Scarfed, You are at equal speed, and have a chance of taking it down with 1 close combat, if its Sashed, then you are faster, You hang on with Sturdy, it hangs on with sash, but with your capobility of outspeeding it, you WILL win the match up.

This is the exact stuff for said Sawk.

Any physical sweeper works. Try Lucario. You should own it with 1 Close Combat. Or a No Guard Machamp with maybe Dynamic Punch. Any fighting type works :)
