Here we go with Dragonite, one of the original uber-pokemon. It has a big movepool so there could be a lot of good answers here...

Then why teach it Dragon Dance if it has no physical moves??
oh okay :P
for the speed maybe XD
Then teach him Agility. He learns it at Level 25. Move Relearner with a Heart Scale.
I was JUST about to put that there

  • thunder

    • surf
    • draco meteor
    • fire blast
having a good range of moves gives you a higher % of having a super effective move.

Man It's Hidden You Guys Can't Just say
"Holy Crap Bad Set!" and downvote and Hide!
Thats Just Mean
You said that in Chat
so don't deny.
I guess that this set is fine. I would say replace Blizzard with Ice Beam, for it does less damage, but has better accuracy and PP. Teach it Rain Dance in place of Draco Meteor to make Hurricane have 100 accuracy, and give it Dragon Claw or Outrage in place of Earthquake for STAB (Same Type ability Boost)

Okay, so here's my idea for a physical Dragonite.
Item: Muscle Band
Brick Break - Decent power, good weakness coverage, shatter any reflects/light screens
Dragon Claw - Physical STAB
ThunderPunch - Because, honestly, how often do you NOT go against water types with ice moves?
Fly - Good power, lends a bit of avoidance at times.

Hopefully, this set isn't too bad.

Her's my moveset for Dragonite if it wer to be placed on a rain team:

EVs: 252 Sp Atk/ 252 Speed/ 4 Hp
Nature: Modest
Ability: Multiscale
Held Item: Choice Specs

- Draco Meteor Powerful STAB
- Hurricane Another Powerful STAB that gets 100 % accuracy in Rain and a chance to confuse
- Thunder Great move that compliments Hurricane since it also gains 100 % accuracy in Rain and a chance to Paralyze
- Surf
Awesome move to use in the rain

Okay here's the catch with this Dragonite: In order to achieve its best usage potential, you'll need a Pokémon that can set up Rain Dance as a move, or better yet. have a Pokemon that can set a permanent Rain, notably Politoed (via Dream World) or Kyogre would be a use especiallu for Double Battles respectively. That would make Dragonite your best rain sweeper in the entire meta-game!

Dragonite
Mixed Attacker
Item- Lum Berry
Ability- Inner Focus

Outrage- STAB, Lum Berry stops Dragonite from being confused , Covers Dragon Types. Base Attack Stat. Not being confused can change the course of battle drastically.

Aerial Ace- Ignore Hurricane, Low Accuracy for Hurricane, Aerial Ace is powered from STAB and Dragonite's 134 base attack stat(Rain can help you, but what if you get hit by a OHKO move? Get into your opponent's head.) . Plus Aerial Ace never misses so that covers if your accuracy gets lower.

Fire Punch- Destroys Ice types, Base Attack stat once again

Ice Beam- Covers those Rock Types, Respectable Special Attack

Hope this helps!

Rain Dragonite @ Sky Plate/Life Orb
Nature: Mild (+SpA, -Def)
Ability: Multiscale
EV's: 252 SpA, 252Spe, 4Atk

~Dragon Dance
~Earthquake/Thunder
~Hurricane
~Outrage

Multiscale provides a great buffer for dragonite to set up. Mild nature leaves both attack stats untouched while not sacrificing speed. Use dragon dance to buff speed and attack, then rip them up with stab hurricane +Sky Plate. Life orb could be used, however if they switch to ferrothorn while outraging, the iron barbs and recoil cause large damage to dragonite. Earthquake is good coverage, however Thunder can be used to take out Skarmory or Jellicent if necessary.

Is that good?

Dragonite @ Leftovers

Evs 252 Atk 252 SpAtk

Thunder (good special attack, coverage)

Waterfall (high attack, coverage)

Fire Blast (good special attack, takes care of ice, steel, grass, bug, etc)

Dragon Claw (STAB, high attack, takes care of dragon types)

This setup covers most types

First thing I always want is Dragon Dance. If you can get leftovers or shell bell, I'd say you have Dragon Dance covered. 2 times with dragon dance is double Dragonite's speed.

Outrage is next. If you don't mind Dragonite getting confused, you can always just switch out.

Earthquake. It's 100 power and acc. Good for covering electric, fire, poison, and steel types. Which I'll have to say fire is a common type.

Last move is almost anything you want. You can teach Dragonite ice beam to counter dragon types easily, another dragon move if you don't want to get confused, a good fighting move if you don't want to get OHKO (One Hit KOed) by Ice types, or a good move that is effective against multiple common types.
I also do not recommend Dragon Rush, as it can miss frequently.

Dragonite Chuck Norris of Dragons
Ability- Multiscale
Item- Flame Plate (More damage to Ice types with Fire moves)
Nature- Brave (+Attack -Speed)
Moves

ExtremeSpeed, for always striking first even with low Speed and doing more damage due to high Attack

Dragon Claw/Outrage, for pretty good STAB, good PP, and good Accuracy (Dragon Claw) or insane STAB, less PP, still good Accuracy, but confusion after a while (Outrage); both cover Dragon type weakness

Fire Punch/Flamethrower, for boost from Flame Plate and high Attack and more PP (Fire Punch) or boost only from Flame Plate, but more damage and useful against opponents with high Defense but lower Sp. D (Flamethrower); both cover Ice type weakness

Iron Tail, for high damage due to high Attack, but low Accuracy; covers Fairy/Rock weaknesses

Dragonite works well on a rain team having different weaknesses to the commonly used water type Pokemon and - even though it's attack stat is higher, at 134 [base] - it has a moveset that could accompany it well as a special sweeper. Multiscale and leftovers is a good combo as Dragonite can hold out against powerful attacks long enough to sweep a few Pokemon. Also, some people may assume that your Dragonite, like many others, is physically offensive due to it's attack stat being highly superior and so send out a Pokemon with high physical defence not special defence allowing for easier sweeps.

Dragonite@Leftovers
Ability: Multiscale
Nature: Modest (+Special Attack, -Attack)
Characteristic: Mischievous
EVs: 252 Special Attack, 128 Special Defence, 128 Defence
Movest: Thunder..... Powerful electric attack with full accuracy in rain
Hurricane................... Powerful STAB flying attack with full accuracy in rain
Draco Meteor........... Powerful STAB dragon type move
Focus Blast................. Powerful fighting move that is super effective against ice types

Dragonite's best stat is it's attack by far which is supported by numerous, physical, moves - including those with STAB. In fact, a Dragonite could function well on a sunny day team.

Dragonite@Lum Berry
Ability: Multiscale
Nature: Adamant (+Attack, - Special Attack)
Characteristic: Likes to thrash about
EVs: 252 Attack, 128 Special Defence, 128 Defence
Movest: Dragon Dance..... Increases Attack and Speed to set-up for a sweep
Outrage.................................... Powerful STAB dragon type move
Thunder Punch..................... Gives a sunny day team variety and covers it's likely water
..................................................... weakness (as a team overall: mostly fire types)
Fire Punch/Rock slide........ Super effective against Dragonite's weakness to ice and
...................................................... either has more power - because of sunny day - or hits both
...................................................... opponents - in a double battle - as well as giving the team
...................................................... variety concerning it's overall moveset
