What is a good moveset for Machamp?

Mine has the No-Guard ability. It knows:

Dynamicpunch: Good damage, confuses for sure.

Stone Edge: High damage, good chance for critical hit, deals with Flying types.

Cross Chop: Good damage, good chance for a critical hit, used when Dynamicpunch runs out of PP.

Facade: Decent damage, useful effect.

OLD Question, But No Best Answer: Try This:

Dynamic Punch(150 power, 100 Acc, Confusion:), Stone Edge(Overall, Good Move), Earthquake(!), and Facade/Payback/Cross Chop(BAsically for Backup:)

Trait: Guts

EVs: 136 HP / 252 Atk / 80 Def / 40 SDef

Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)

  • Facade
  • Cross Chop
  • Stone Edge
  • Earthquake

Well, lets see where he stands without No-Guard.
With a Bit of Bulk in Hp he can take a little bit of Flame Orb Recoil, So he's good there.
Lets look into moves.
Facade - A classic move to pull from your Sleave, Gets powered up By burn and Guts, so its pretty darn powerful. Cross Chop is just There for hard hitting STAB, and with the way PO deals out accuracy it's fine. Stone Edge to hit flying types, Levitating Psychic types, and Gengar. With Earthquake for Great Coverage.

Why Flame Orb and not Toxic Orb?
Flame Orb lowers his attack even further.
Flame Orb doesn't lower Attack if you have Guts, Guts cancels the lower, AND boosts it.
Oooh l see! l didn't know that.
Yep...
Without No-Guard he belongs in NU. Outclassed by Throh and especially by Conkeldurr.

Bulk-up-The perfect boost for a tank

Bayback-Coverage+works well with your low speed

Stone edge-Coverage

Ice punchMore coverage and deals with dragons

Fire punch/Thunder punch/Payback/Earthquake-Fire punch for variety, T-punch for more coverage and variety, Payback for coverage but not at all well with high speed, earthquake you know why.

Well, Machamp can't learn trick room but can be added to trick room teams.

Competitive :

DynamicPunch

Stone Edge

Thunder/Ice Punch -(Cover Flying - Machamp has good defence so can take some flying hits)

EarthQuake (No point covering Psychic cause most psychics have high sp.attack and machamp has lower sp.def than defence so a big chance it would faint - and great power , used to deal with MANY pokemon )

In-Game

Cross Chop

Rock Slide (PP is essential in game)

Elemental Punch ( Any , your choice )

PayBack (Machamp is slow enough to attack last )

So, this guy is NU now. Yeah... makes no sense to me either. I mean, this guy is much better than Hitmontop. And while Hitmonlee and Mienshao are good and deserve to be in UU, Machamp is Machamp! DynamicPunch just destroys everything. Stone Edge also makes use of No-Guard and gives nice type coverage along with nice power. Bullet Punch provides you with priority. And Ice Punch is there for taking down Gliscor (and also Landorus, but mainly Gliscor). It also does good damage on Dragon types. Life Orb lets you hit even harder. Your EVs provide you with some bulk, and maximizes your Attack. How is this incredibly powerful Pokemon NU? HOW?!?

Bulk-up is for boosting Attack and Defense. Dynamic-punch is for STAB and is a classic move for the Machamp family. Rock-slide covers Flying types. Earthquake is for coverage, while Bullet-punch would be for priority.

No Guard is the selling point of Machamp. Your teammates can use inaccurate attacks such as Blizzard and Zap Cannon and then end up destroying the foe. DynamicPunch is STAB that confuses. Rock Slide hits multiple foes, as does Earthquake. Wide Guard protects your teammates from multiple Pokemon hitting attacks.
