The type of Hidden power you get is based on your IV's, so it is predetermined and is impossible to change.(But if it is on Pokemon Online you can change it using the Advanced window)

EDIT: You can download Pokemon Online and input your pokemon's stats, level, EVs, and nature to find out the hidden power type.
