Say you have Torterra,a grass and ground type. So how effective would a fire type be because it is super effective and not very effective at the same time? Would it just be a normal attack?

Also, how effective is a double effective move type like Torterra being hit by an ice type.

for the fire attack; no, it would not become neutral, it would IF ground types were to resist fire moves, which they don't. that's rock you're thinking of.

as far as the ice moves, he would take 4x damage instead of 2x damage from ice moves.

i think you get the system, both super effective / not very effective multipliers will get added on.
