Question

So lets say a donphan has soft sand on him which is an item that increases the ground type move by 20%. He uses earthquake which has stab equaling 150 base power. now does the soft sand effect activate after his stab has been calculated or before? is it 150/5 plus the 150 or 100/5 plus the 150?

It really doesn't matter.

100 +50(STAB)= 150
150+30(Soft Sand)= 180

or

100+20(Soft Sand)= 120
120+60(STAB) = 180
