Question

I was just wondering if you are playing let's say Platinum, and someone trades you a Skarmory. Does that Pokemon's pokedex info get into your's? Does it add a Pokemon? Please someone answer I was wondering because my friend wanted a trade, I didn't know if it will mess up my game.

Any pokemon u obtain via trade will be added to ur pokedex.
The only way it will mess up your game is if its a hacked pokemon.

Actullay if it was black you can get it in your pokedex any game if it was platnium it wont go on if theres any unova pokemon
