When do you use your Action Replay code: 2x Experience Multiplyer?

I have Pokemon SoulSilver and I want to train my PKMN up quicker with the Action Replay code: 2x Experience Multiplyer. I just don't know when to use it! Can anyone help me with that?

You hold R right when the pokemon you are fighting faints. ( HOPE THIS HELPS!!!) :)

Good answer but why use 2x exp when you can have 200x exp

This has codes to put in that some of them don't come on the action replay
