Kyogre @ Choice Specs
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 Spe
Modest Nature
- Water Spout
- Thunder
- Ice Beam
- Surf

Water Spout is way powerful at full HP. Any Kyogre should have Thunder. Ice Beam gives coverage against dragons, mainly. Works well along with Thunder and and the water type move. Surf is for when Kyogre's heath falls later on.

If Kyogre's health drops it can't use Surf because of Choice Specs.. i'd say give it wise glasses or mystic water.

This is my moveset for my Kyogre:
enter image description here

Kyogre @ Quick Claw
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 HP / 4 Spe
Timid Nature
- Calm Mind
- Water Spout
- Thunder
- Ice Beam

Calm Mind- Makes its attacks stronger while making it more specially bulky.
Water Spout- STAB, where Quick Claw comes in.
Thunder- With Drizzle, its accuracy is perfect.
Ice Beam- To take down Dragon, Grass, Flying and other types while having awesome damage with Calm Mind.

Not a bad set, but Quick Claw is banned/looked down on in competitive play.
Well, you could also have Life orb, Choise scarf or Choise specs
Nice pic.

Kyogre-Primal @ Blue Orb
Ability: Primordial Sea
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Water Spout
- Origin Pulse
- Thunder
- Ice Beam
Water Spout is simply incredible with STAB and Primordial Sea backing it. Origin Pulse is better if you’ve taken a lot of damage. Thunder is good for Ditto and other Kyogre/Primal Kyogres. Ice Beam is for dragons, Rayquaza and its mega in particular.

You are creating movesets for yourself?Shouldn't ur trainer be doing that?

Kyogre recently rose to S tier in gen 8 AG. This is tied with the great Zacian-C. This is because of the amazing versatility of the ol orca, and ResTalk+Sheer Cold is a popular set that can look for OHKOs on things that wall it such as Ferro and Eternatus. This is also part of the reason White Kyurem’s viability went up quite a lot, because it’s immune to Sheer Cold.
Kyogre
Kyogre @ Leftovers
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Scald
- Sheer Cold
We all know about ResTalk, no need to explain that. Scald is Rain-Boosted STAB that still hits hard from the natural 150 base SpA. Sheer Cold looks for OHKOs on walls.

by
Sheer Cold is extremely inconsistent
The viability rankings don't mean anything if you're placing all your hopes of beating a wall into a move with 30% accuracy. One miss (which happens much more often than not) means a free Spike or Leech Seed for Ferrothorn, free Toxic or Toxic Spikes for Eternatus, or free Nasty Plot/Coil for Calyrex-Shadow and Zygarde

Kyogre @ Leftovers
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Scald
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Well it's obvious I'm forcing physical bulk with his EVs and Mature here.
Calm Mind will then make up for the special bulk that he's lacking ( But he has a really nice base there ) and beef up that Special Attack some more. I chose Scald as my attacking move. The burn chance there is nice enough that I can have a solid Water attack ( 120 after STAB, and that's not including rain boost ) that can keep doing damage while I'm spamming rest.
Sleep Talk makes for an annoying " Rest-Talk " combo. Hitting with Scald, or just building up power and bulk while I just kind of sit there sleeping.

National Dex AG (Scarf Kyogre)
Kyogre

Kyogre @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 SpD
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Water Spout
- Thunder
- Blizzard/Ice Beam
- Origin Pulse
Okay, this thing is a beast. It can take down Pokemon like Yveltal (if it has no Speed boosts) Zacian-Crowned, do a chunk of damage to M-ray, and lots more. Water Spout is to deal massive damage when your health is full. Thunder is to quickly take down other water types and flying types. If you use Blizzard, you trade accuracy for power, and you trade power for accuracy with Ice Beam. Origin Pulse is powerful STAB.

I must say, this is the perfect set for Kyogre. 1+
I would use ice beam over blizzard because of the accuracy.

Kyogre
~SPK~ (Kyogre-Primal) @ Blue Orb
Ability: Primordial Sea
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Origin Pulse
- Ice Beam
- Thunder
- Calm Mind
Origin Pulse is Rain boosted STAB. Thunder can't miss in rain. Ice Beam covers Grass types. Calm Mind makes Primal Kyogre even more bulkier and hit harder.

Gen 8 AG
Kyogre
Kyogre @ Leftovers
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Rest
- Calm Mind
- Scald
- Block
This is a Block-Calm mind Kyogre. Block is so the opposing Pokemon can't switch out while you set up. Rest is so status like Toxic won't cripple you. Calm mind plus Scald can be deadly, especially when using Max Geyser under rain.

by
Definitely a great one. I’d note that it kills Ditto and Eternatus, things that often come to kill Scarf Kyogres.
I know. At around full health it can even take a Wild Charge from Jolly Zac if it didn't Swords Dance or anything. I've even 6oed a couple teams with this set.
You are ignoring the fact I used it first among us three :c Just kidding lol.
That’s why I didn’t post it lol

The ever centralizing Kyogre that dominated all the Ubers format before Gen 6 is back again, especially with the removal of Primal Groudon which was the best solid switch-in to it. This Gen, we will see Ferrothorn, Blissey, Eternatus, etc. all of which wall standard Specs and Scarf set. But, this gimmicky as well as unpredictable set will create havoc.

Gen 8 [Anything Goes]

◦KyogrePulse◦ (Kyogre) @ Leftovers
Ability: Drizzle
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk

  • Scald
  • Sheer Cold
  • Rest
  • Sleep Talk

Block + CM Rest sets are really good, the only thing is that they don't see a Power Whip Ferrothorn or Teleport Blissey. Outside of that, they have little counterplay. But, SheerCold RestTalk has even less counter play, limited to Kyurem-White.

Maximum Defense allows to tank hits from physical attackers well. Scald is chosen because of its burn. Once you burn Ferrothorn, it can't virtually touch you. Then, you start spamming Sheer Cold. Blissey can't do anything as well since Toxic gets shut down by Rest. Sheer Cold, as previously told has almost no switch-ins has only 20% accuracy and 8 PP, which is why Sleep Talk is there. Remember, it's for destroying slower and passive mons.
Do not blame hax.

This set has no counterplay except Kyurem-White. Therefore, Kyurem-White saw an increased usage in AG Snake tour.

So, that's all about these set. Until you see Kyurem-White have fun landing Sheer Cold!

Defensive Calm Mind. Primal Kyogre can afford to use Ice Beam, unlike its regular counterpart using Block or Sheer Cold in Galar AG.

Kyogre-Primal @ Blue Orb
Ability: Drizzle --> Primordial Sea
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature

  • Scald
  • Rest
  • Calm Mind
  • Ice Beam

Scald is STAB with a 30% burn chance and high PP, meaning it can win in a war of attrition. The chip damage from burn is nice, and the indirect Defense boost and ability to shut down physical attackers is even better. Rest is recovery, and the forced Sleep isn't really a problem since Primal Kyogre is so bulky. Calm Mind is set up and makes Primal Kyogre incredibly hard to kill on the Special side. Ice Beam is used to get rid of the problematic Primal Groudon, which is immune to Scald because of Desolate Land. It also removes Eternatus and Mega Rayquaza.

252 SpA Life Orb Calyrex-Shadow Astral Barrage vs. +1 252 HP / 4 SpD Kyogre-Primal: 134-160 (33.1 - 39.6%) -- 100% chance to 3HKO

+2 252 SpA Xerneas Thunder vs. +2 252 HP / 4 SpD Kyogre-Primal: 160-190 (39.6 - 47%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

0 SpA Kyogre-Primal Scald vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Xerneas in Heavy Rain: 220-261 (55.9 - 66.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

+1 0 SpA Kyogre-Primal Ice Beam vs. 240 HP / 252 SpD Eternatus: 266-314 (55.3 - 65.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Black Sludge recovery

+1 0 SpA Kyogre-Primal Ice Beam vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Rayquaza-Mega in Strong Winds: 326-384 (92.8 - 109.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

by
Ha, I like it
You can actually change the Mega Ray calc, as they would most probably try for an Ascent to KO you, and then Ice Beam KO's them at -1, even w/o a Calm Mind.

Gen 9 Ubers Scarfed Cleaner

Kyogre

Kyogre @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Drizzle
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 32 HP / 32 Def / 252 SpA / 192 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Origin Pulse
- Ice Beam
- Water Spout
- Thunder

This thing tears apart all but resists with Tera Water Rain Water Spout, as well as providing speed control, specifically with this EV spread outspeeding Zacian-C, the fastest viable Uber. After 252 SpA, the rest of the EVs are dumped in Def and HP. Origin Pulse and Bolt-Beam are self-explanatory.

  • 252 SpA Kyogre Water Spout (150 BP) vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Zacian-Crowned in Rain: 363-427 (111.6 - 131.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
  • 252 SpA Tera Water Kyogre Water Spout (150 BP) vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Miraidon in Rain: 242-285 (70.9 - 83.5%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock and 2 layers of Spikes
  • 252 SpA Tera Water Kyogre Water Spout (150 BP) vs. 240 HP / 0 SpD Groudon in Sun: 396-468 (98.7 - 116.7%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO
  • 252 SpA Tera Water Kyogre Water Spout (150 BP) vs. 200 HP / 0 SpD Arceus in Rain: 468-552 (108.5 - 128%) -- guaranteed OHKO

The best moveset would still be the one that was named in Generation 3.

Kyogre @ Wise Glasses
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 252 SpA / 128 Spe / 128 SpD
Modest Nature
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Thunder
- Calm Mind

Firstly, Calm Mind to raise Sp. Atk for the other three moves. It also raises Sp. Def for some protection from most Grass and Electric attacks.

Surf is STAB. Considering Sp. Atk is maxed out, the item is Wise Glasses, and Calm Mind is used, this attack does a hell lot of damage.

Ice Beam is another strong move to get rid of the danger of Grass types. It'll also help against Dragon types, which might know an Electric move.

Thunder is a stronger version of Thunderbolt. And considering Kyogre's ability is Drizzle, Thunder won't miss because of the rain. It's a strong move and is especially useful for other Water types, who may use Drizzle to their advantage.

Kyogre @ Choice Band
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Waterfall
- Earthquake
- Avalanche
- Body Slam

  • Waterfall loving the flinch and nice damage
  • Earthquake nice damage hits electric and all around nice attack
  • Avalanche he is probably going to go second and so will most likely get the double damage and covers dragon and grass
  • Body Slam hits nice and there is a chance for a nice paralysis

Here is a rare Physical Kyogre! Observe it....
I've used physical Kyogre before. It sucks.
Attack isn't it's best Stat.
Josh it has worked for me it throws people off when they get hit by a physical attack on a switch to blissey it is all surprise strategy.
Also, if he goes last against a Grass-type, he will probably die.
Don't like a moveset, why avalanche when you can have Blizzard?

Role: Dynamax Sweeper
Kyogre @ Life Orb
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk

  • Hidden Power [Flying] (Only for National Dex AG, else Thunder)
  • Origin Pulse
  • Ice Beam
  • Calm Mind
This is a rather surprising set as you may know Choice Scarf Water Spout go brrr, but Life Orb does better with Dynamax, since Choice items are disabled in Dynamax. Also note that Hidden Power can be used in Nat Dex AG, which is the only flying-type move it knows, and Max Airstream is replacement for Scarf. Ice Beam is good against Eternatus which is good counter for Spout Ogre in Gen 8 AG, and in Nat Dex AG, it takes care of Mega-Rayquaza (Life Orb Max Hailstorm OHKOes it in Delta Stream). Calm Mind allows it to set-up then sweep with HP Flying (Max Airstream). It can be, a good Dynamax sweeper that isn't Yveltal or Xerneas. Note that having Calm Mind instead of Thunder worsens your match-up against Primal-Kyogre and Arceus-Water, but the latter isn't brought due to people knowing Life Orb will make them sure that we carry Thunder (and which we aren't). This set works the best in Nation Dex Anything Goes.

Special Wall (Gen 8 Ubers)

Kyogre @ Leftovers
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature (+ SpD, - Atk)
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Scald
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

A RestTalk Specially Bulky Kyogre. This is designed to stop Special sweepers in their tracks. Calm Mind is to boost Kyogre's already massive Special Attack and Special Defense, making it even harder to take down and increasing its offensive power. Scald is a 100% accurate 80-power Water-type STAB move that has a 30% burn chance. This is useful for taking care of any Physical Attackers trying to switch in and attack Kyogre's weaker Defense stat. Rest is Kyogre's only Recovery move, and paired with Sleep Talk can beat even Status-dealers like the Chansey line and Lugia.

This set works well in Gen 8 Ubers due to the lack of water-absorbing Pokemon available in Ubers. Primal Groudon is not in Gen 8, therefore there are no viable Uber Pokemon that are immune to this set. However, Water-resists such as Dracovish, Ferrothorn, and Palkia can threaten Kyogre, along with faster Physical sweepers like Zekrom and Kartana, however none of these can usually risk switching in to Kyogre.

Kyogre is probably the best Pokemon in the game in my opinion. It is an incredibly strong special attacker and in the rain its water moves are overwhelmingly powerful.

Kyogre @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Nature: Timid / Modest
- Water Spout
- Surf / Scald
- Thunder
- Ice Beam

-Water Spout-With CS you are faster than normal Mewtwo and Darkrai so you can have the 100% Water spout damage and get an early KO. Stab and rain boosted coming off base 150 SpA.
-Surf/Scald-Water stab for when your health is low. Surf is more powerful but Scald has the chance to burn. Rain boosted.(You could also use the inaccurate but insanely powerful Hydro Pump).
-Thunder-Always hits in rain and damages opposing Kyogre and some Arceus forms
-Ice Beam-A great move covering the plethora of dragon types and Shaymin. A must on Kyogre
Works amazingly. Paired with a Palkia in Doubles is amazing.
Hope I helped

Kyogre @ Blue Orb
Ability: Drizzle --> Primordial Sea
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 HP OR 252 SpA / 252 HP / 4 Def
Modest Nature
- Origin Pulse
- Thunder / Ice Beam
- Water Spout
- Calm Mind / Hidden Power [Ground]

Origin Pulse is the main STAB choice and hits ridiculously hard in the rain.
Water Spout is another STAB choice can be used and pretty much demolishes everything in sight.
Thunder is used to hit opposing Water types and Flying types. Ice Beam is an alternative option used to hit Grass, Dragon and Flying types.
Calm Mind can be used to further boost its Special Attack and also its Special Defence. Hidden Power Ground can be used over this to solely hit Primal Groudon which is immune to Water moves if the sun is up.
