What is a good moveset for Ambipom?

0 votes

Mine has the ability Technician. It is EV trained more in its defensive stats. It knows:

Fake Out: Attacks first, high accuracy, causes flinching, STAb, power boosted by Technician.

Brick Break: Decent power, high accuracy, breaks through Light Screen and Reflect, deals with Rock and Steel types.

Payback: Used to deal with Ghost types, improved by Technician which also helps if Ambipom is attacked first.

Taunt: Stops the foe from using Stat moves.

![Specs][1]Special Based Monkey
Item: Choice-specs
Ability: Technician
Nature: Timid
EVs: 252 S.Attack, 252 Speed, 6 Hp

Swift
Thunderbolt
Hidden-power(Fire/Fighting/Ice)
Shadow-ball

With Choice-specs his S.Attack becomes pretty good. Swift has 90 Base-power with Technician so it is great STAB. Thunderbolt is coverage. Hidden-power(Fire/Fighting/Ice) it depends on the needs of your team, if you get the IVs just right you can get a Technician boost for Hidden-power to get it 90 base-power, coverage. Shadow-ball is coverage.

Also a note: You could swap Specs for Focus-sash and Shadow-ball for Nasty-plot.

Item: Normal-gem
Ability: Technician
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Attack, 252 Speed, 6 Hp

Fake-out
U-turn
Payback
Double-hit/Low-sweep

Fake-out flinches with some pretty high power when you add up Normal gem(for the first time), STAB, and Technician. U-turn is for switching so you can repeat the process again. Payback is for Ghost types. Double-hit would be for Sub-breaking and STAB while Low-sweep is coverage.
