Mine has this for its moveset, it covers all weakneses:

Earthquake: If a Ground type doesn't have this move, something is very very very very wrong. If a normal Pokemon with higher attack than Sp. Attack doesn't know Earthquake, the reason better be that you are low on TM 26. Even if a Pokemon with higher Sp. Attack doesn't have Earthquake, that may be wrong.

Ice Fang: Decent power, chance to cause flinching or freezing, decent accuracy, used to deal with Grass types. Also deals with Flying types, who are immune to Earthquake, and the ever popular Dragon type.

Thunder Fang: Decent power, decent accuracy, chance to cause flinching or to paralyze, used to deal with Water types. It also deals with Flying types, which are immune to Earthquake.

Stone Edge: High power, good chance for critical hit, used to deal with Ice types. Also deals with Flying types who are immune to Earthquake.

Hippowdon @ Leftovers

Trait: Sand Stream

EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def

Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)

  • Earthquake
  • Crunch
  • Stone Edge
  • Yawn/Stealth Rock/Slack Off/Body Slam

Earthquake offers reliable STAB.
Crunch is also reliable, has a chance of lowering the opponents Def stat.
Stone Edge gives some eh coverage, it's still a good move though with a nice chance of critical hit.
Yawn can be used to force a switch or put your opponent to sleep, Stealth Rock is annoying hazards making the game less fun and of course with your sand rush excadrill your opponent might as well rage quit.
Slack Off provides healing, Body Slam has a chance of paralyzing your foe and gives good neutral coverage.

Hippowdon (F) @ Leftovers

Role: Oh Darn, I already am using Tyranitar!

Trait: Sand Force

EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 SDef

Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)

  • Stockpile
  • Slack Off
  • Earthquake
  • Stone Edge

With Sand support.

Stock Pile beefs up your defenses, Slack off regains Health, and Stone Edge and Earthquake get sand Force bonus.

I like this, but you can't have a complete Hippowdon without Superpower. So I would replace Stone Edge with it seeing as it covers less types than Superpower does.

Mini-hippo

Nature: Careful
Ability: Sand-stream
Item: Evolite
EVs: 252 S.def, 252 Def, 6 hp

Stealth-rock
Slack-off
Stock-pile
Toxic

Stealth-rock makes an annoying entry hazard. Slack-off is for healing. Stock-pile gives defensive boosts. Toxic gives status problem. This is a great UU sand-stream activator.

4 hp evs not 6
It doesn't matter, 2 EVs doesn't make a point.

This Hippowdon is the lead of mi sandstorm team.

Adamant Nature
Ev trained in Sp.Def and HP
Sandstream Ability
Passho Berry Held Item

Stealth Rock: Best entry hazard move.
Earthquake: STAB, high power and good accuracy.
Fire Fang: covers grass and ice weakness.
Rockslide/Thunder Fang/Roar: Auxillary moves incase there's a foe that could get you into some trouble.

Mine actually know protect because I have him in my double battle team but this moveset is for single.

Hippowdawn (F) @ Leftovers (or any other item you prefer)

Trait: Sand Stream

EVs: Defense 255, Speed 100, SP. Defense 100, SP. Attack 55

Naive Nature ( +Speed, =SP. Defense)

Moves:

Water Pulse

Earth Power

Fire Fang

Stealth Rock

Water Pulse gives confusing stat and also covers your ground & rock buddies

Earth Power I think you guys should try out Earth Power then Earthquake, it's pretty powerful and also doesn't hurt your allies in Double or Triple Battles

Fire Fang coverage and it gives flinching

Stealth Rock good for starting out a battle

I hope you guys like this Moveset for Hippowdon <3

P.S. If your wondering why Hippowdon has Water Pulse, it's because she can learn it in HG/SS and Diamond & Pearl/Platinum via TM.
