It is usually the O.T. i get after i trade. Is it similar to a bad egg?

The person you traded with hacked. Most likely used PokeSav to make the trainer ID ------.

If this is on an egg, it pretty much means the Pokemon doesn't have an OT, or, original trainer yet.

but it is on  most of the pokemon i get from trades on gts nedotiations and i don't trade with the same people... what is going on here?

It might stand for characters your DS can't read or something along that line.

Okay, maybe the person using PokeGen or Sav didn't bother to fill in the OT.
