Can you have a critical capture with a master ball?

Are the chanses the same with a poke ball,or is it impossible?

Interesting question. My feeling is "yes" but I'll test it and see.

@pokemaster how are you going to test it when critical captures RARELY happen?

save then soft reset to use the masterball multiple times and then if it works you can soft reset and still have the masterball

Yes!

I tested.
(Gave myself Masterballs with PokeGen, 2nd throw was critical)
