Meta Battle Subway PokeBase - Pokemon Q&A

How do beneficial natures effect max stats?

0 votes

I understand that natures will raise a stat but lower another BUT I noticed that some stats are lower at the base stage than others but higher than others at max the one I noticed is Gliscor. Gliscor has a base hp stat of 75 and base sp. def stat of 75 but has a max beneficial hp stat of 354 and beneficial max sp. def stat of 273.

Even furthering my confusion gliscor with a neutral nature has the same max stat as a beneficial nature.

I'm so confused.

I don't get your question.

HP is a different stat from the others as it is not affected by any nature. In the calculation for HP it adds about 100 more than the other stats. So even if a Pokemon's base HP is lower than base Attack for example, the actual stat usually ends up higher.
